This place is a DC institution. The momos are hand made every day. The samosas are really tasty. If you are looking for a really great casual meal, this is your place.

We got a lamb curry and a chicken biryani and they were both absolutely phenomenal… oxtail momos were a little greasy/fatty, but the sauce helps a lot. I would definitely go back and just get two curries on top of the biryani…

Y’AALLLLL. LISTEN UP!!! We visited DC from MI for the first time and stayed in Adams Morgan. Real talk Himalayan Heritage is 500,000/10 good. We got the chicken vindaloo (spice level as it comes—the slightly more orange colored dish from the photo) and tikka masala chicken (hot—the more red colored dish), garlic naan, gobi Manchurian, gulab jamun (dessert balls), and my husband drank some sweet red wine. All were so delicious!! tbh we have good Indian food in Michigan but this was waaaaaaaaay better than MI Indian spots we know of. (We have never seen any Nepalese in Mi other than a good friend’s parents’ home cooking so we cannot comment on that part.) Our server, Moon, was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE, a real gem. 💎💕🌙 She was patient, kind, happy to explain things, beautiful & professional, and we appreciated that she was easygoing with 2 complete out of towners!! We loved Himalayan Heritage so so much and look forward to the next time we’ll be in town to visit. ❤️ In fact it was by far the BEST food we had in DC, tied only with those croissants from Soleluna up the road. Absolutely recommended!!!!!!

Absolutely delicious food and super friendly service! Every dish was packed with flavor, the staff were super attentive and kind, and the restaurant was cozy.
We ordered the chicken johl momo, the steamed heritage special momo with goat, and the tikka masala chicken curry.
Highly recommend to all!

I had the Pork Sekuwa and the curry goat. Both were very good and the curry goat was very spicy and teeming with flavor. The goat was also cooked to perfection as the meat literally fell off the bone. I ordered it to go and my only complaint was the fact that they didn't provide me with a set of utensils, forcing me to swipe some from my hotel's restaurant.

This place is plain bad. I had the goat curry and the meat was tough and full fat. My appetizers were just average. I have not been here in years and now I remember why I never went back.

Given the price, the food was very average. The laccha parathas were terrible. I wish I could go back and return it back to them. As an Indian, I do not recommend this resturant at all.
