One of the best bars in dc! It’s a neighborhood gem and they make you feel like family. Cant say enough nice things about Brandon (the owner). Great beers, great vibes and lots of tvs for the games.

I worked at this place, and it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. They didn’t pay me for my work, and I saw that the food wasn’t handled in a clean or professional way. Hygiene needs serious improvement. I wouldn’t recommend this place for work or for food. #RealExperience #FairWork #CleanFood #DC #DontRecommend #YTodo #TrueStory #WorkJustice

As soon as I walked in I knew it was exactly what I wanted for the night. Awesome local bar, that had the game on, this place delivered and then some! My boy and I had an excellent time!

Johnny’s is the neighborhood gem you didn’t know you needed. It’s got dive bar charm with just enough flair to keep things interesting—think cold beers and a killer liquor list. The staff is friendly, the vibes are top-tier, and the bar food hits the spot. Whether you’re posting up for the game or popping in for a late-night drink, Johnny’s nails it. Fun, easy, and exactly the kind of spot you want in your regular rotation.

Ive been here twice—well three times but the third time (mid morning) they were not open even though they tout themselves as an all day breakfast place. I went to the website and they don’t have any hours listed. Google maps says they don’t open until 5pm or 8 pm now??

The two times i was there the food was cold and gross. How do you mess up fries? Both times the service was awful. I really wanted to like this place but it is hard to. Also their website has a rant about a former employee and her name and picture up. That seems REAL creepy. While Ohio might be first in flight, this Ohio themed bar seems first in plight.

Awesome staff and owners. Great drink selection. Sufficient food options. Cozy (but also sportsball friendly) dive vibe inside, and chill picnic table & fireplace vibe outside.

Criminally underrated bar in DC. Incredibly accommodating and welcoming atmosphere and the bartender goes out of his way to welcome you and learn your name. Drinks are reasonably priced by DC standards and the tabletop games on offer make the crowds worth it to wait for a table and enjoy the trip to northern DC.

This is an ideal place to relax, drink, and chat. It's also a small business with a lot of friendly regulars. It's also an Ohio bar. The food is solid, but the atmosphere is really the draw. The person who is serving you or working in the kitchen is highly likely to be the owner.

I hate giving places mediocre reviews, but for context I have been coming here for a year. The place has always been a good place, however in recent times it’s fell off a bit. They are usually severely understaffed which is fine during the week, but on the weekends when the place is packed I’ve seen them multiple times only have one cook and one bartender, no one to even take orders. Not only that but sometimes it is hard to get people’s attention, the workers all seem stressed out. They also say that they are closed on Mondays but then when I walk past the place it is open… I don’t know if it’s like a managerial thing, but it is more of like a sports bar so I figure the weekends they would want to have adequate staff to manage more people. Personally I hope they bounce back but to be honest I’m unsure. I personally like their food compared to the places next store, but for the past couple of months I’ve found myself taking friends to the other places just simply because I can’t get anyone’s attention. I also just think that you need to have a schedule and stick to the schedule, but it may just be me.
