Kiyomi is a sushi spot hidden in The Square food hall with only 10 counter seats. The restaurant serves fresh and delicious fish, offering an amazing omakase experience that is both approachable and refined. Guests loved the nigiri and hand roll omakase, noting the super fresh sushi and excellent preparation. The $40 Sushi Omakase from Chef Uchi provides outsized value, with better quality and taste than other top spots. Highlights from the dinner omakase include hay-smoked fish, char sushi, and melts-in-your-mouth otoro and uni, all elevated by expertly seasoned rice. The lunch special features king salmon, yellowtail, seabass, smoked salmon, bluefin tuna, and the most delicious fatty salmon, finished with a perfectly salted miso soup and a spicy tuna hand roll. The spicy tuna hand roll surprises with its crisp nori and bold kick. The whole omakase is very well crafted in terms of flavor profile and texture. The atmosphere is casual since it is a shared space, but the food is so good that guests forget about it. Service is focused and attentive. Reservations are only for dinner, with walk-in only for lunch.
