You have to put your name down to get seated so beware if you are going during a busy time. The servers don't do much so it's great if you don't want to interact much with people. Drinks are brought to you by a robot and the food comes on the conveyor belt next to you. The sushi was really good but they are smaller portions. I loved the miso ramen and the mochi so much though!

Probably one of the worst disappointments in a long time. Greeted with the news that the revolving part of the revolving sushi bar was broken and we had to order from the electronic menu. No big deal. Ordered 2 rolls and a cucumber appetizer along with tempura. The rolls were ok, nothing special. The cucumber dish was revolting. Tasted like soap and I could not eat it. The shrimp tempura was super oily and came with two little pieces of chicken on top of a mountain of white rice. The tempura was just shameful and the rice inedible, tasted old and dry. Did not order any other dishes and left. Oh and the service was not great expect for the robot, it was the only server that didn't have an attitude. Disappointing visit and would not recommend.

This sushi bar is GHETTO. The revolvers do not work. It is hotter than a sauna in there; feels like I’m getting cooked prepped and ready to be served. I can’t eat comfortably. This place always has a wait and it would be totally worth it if the experience was better inside but unfortunately it is not.

Sushi conveyor belt was not working which was the reason we went. Order by touch screen. They still delivered food by a different conveyor and a robot delivered the drinks which was fun. Food was just so so.

Waited for 20 minutes event though the place is empty. Employees joking and laughing with no interest in serving customers. Pathetic.

This is a delicious, cheap, and completely Japanese-style sushi restaurant.I had never eaten at Kura Sushi in Japan, but I went there on a trip to Washington. The price is 18 dishes for two people, three à la carte items, and two beers. All I ate was $100 including tip. cheap! ︎At other conveyor belt sushi restaurants in Japan, the two of us usually get full from 12 plates, but this time, it was so delicious that we ate so much that our stomachs exploded.I thought that in America, you could only find cheap sushi or Japanese-style high-class sushi, but Kura Sushi is just right. The prices were reasonable and I was able to eat normal sushi that you would get in Japan, although it wasn't as fancy as a high-end restaurant.I was really happy because I had wanted to try this normal sushi in Japan ever since I came to America. The rice is just the right size, not too small, and the grip is just right. What surprised me was how fresh the sea urchin and scallops were.I have eaten sushi with good freshness even at restaurants in this price range for other ingredients, but I was surprised by the sea urchin and scallops, as I had thought that I would have to pay a certain price for them to be delicious. .As for the side menu, the takoyaki was delicious. There are only 3 pieces, but they are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It looked like I was eating octopus takoyaki. lolThere is a charge for green tea, but both cold and hot water are free. Of course, the garri is free. There was Bikkurapon. I think it's possible to draw once for 5 plates, just like in Japan. We won on the third try.Apparently it was a collaboration with SPY×FAMILY, and I won an Anya key folder. There are two problems. The first is the low quality of soy sauce. It's probably oxidized.Second, the waiting time is long.I went to the store around 5pm and made a reservation. In that case, the display will wait 160 minutes. I'm shocked.I was actually called at 8 PM. So it took 3 hours until the call. When I receive a call on my cell phone, I notify the store staff. In our case, after telling the staff that we were in front of the store, we waited for about 15 to 20 minutes. So, I entered the reservation at 5 PM and was able to enter the store at around 8:30 PM. It's 3 hours and 30 minutes. It may have been especially crowded since it was a Saturday night.Still, it was a sushi restaurant that I would like to go to again.Next time I'm in Washington DC, I'll go again! It's my favorite.

Very fun experience! The food was just good, not mind blowing. It's a fun restaurant to go to and do the whole revolving sushi bar. Also, if you eat enough you get a prize!

It was a fun experience to eat here. However, the food was just okay. There isn't much of a variety as far as rolls go.
