We were the only people in the entire restaurant. Melvin is terrific, but I can't see how they can remain open. Oh, and the mouse that scurried across the floor was unsettling.
Don't go for the excellent roses because apparently they lost their liquor license so no wine or alcohol was available - and no indication that was the case when we made this reservation. There were hardly any people eating there, which was why it was easy to make a reservation. The staff was attentive and kind and the food was as good as it always is. But the staff had nothing to do but serve us and one other table, so the people in the kitchen closed early (no dessert possible)....
Really enjoyed our dinner at Macon bistro. They await a new liquor license, but no worries, we brought our own wine. Food was very good. We had mussels, salmon, and shrimp dishes - all very good! Plus salads and appetizers. Very much enjoyed it. Atmosphere was intimate, quiet, and lovely.
