I come here every year that I’m in town for work. I go out of my way to stay at a nearby hotel so I can be within walking distanceDietary restrictions: I have a lot of allergies and the menu offers so much variety

Should have read the reviews before going. Mandatory 18% tip without even asking or saying anything about tipping on the menu. Had a weird claim that 18% tip is set by the restaurant rather than the waitresses so as to convince customers not to have an opinion towards the waitresses. Unprofessional service and decpetive behavior towards dine-in customers. PLEASE AVOID SUPPORTING THE BUSINESS! There are plenty of options for Chinese cuisine in DC.

Excellent food made fresh and hot. And quick too. If you want fancy decor or an extensive bar menu then look else where. But if you want great food come here. Great stop before an event at capital one arena.

The noodles, broth and leek were great but the meat was disgusting. I tried to give it a shot but I think it's intestines. The waitress told me it was brisket. The meat was bouncy on my teeth and didn't get any smaller no matter how long I chewed. Not for me.

The staff was really nice! But the food was greasy and overcooked. It was later in the evening so it might've just been that.

Food was great! Kind of cold inside but overall the food was great, service was good and the price for the portion sides were worth it!

My visit to New Big Wong Chinese Restaurant in Chinatown was deeply disappointing, both in terms of service and food quality. It’s disheartening to share such a negative experience, but I feel it’s important for potential patrons to be aware. The service was not only rushed but also distinctly unprofessional. Arriving at 9 p.m., my party and I were already being pushed out by 9:30. This hurried atmosphere is not what you’d expect when dining out, especially early in the evening. The behavior of one of the waitresses was particularly egregious. Not only was her loud conversation with a colleague right next to our table distracting, but her attitude towards the tipping process was astonishingly rude. After we left a 10% tip — which, considering the poor service, felt more than fair — she confronted us. She was not just vocal but yelled at us, questioning why the tip was ‘only’ 10%. Her demeanor was aggressive, standing over us, almost demanding a higher tip. This level of confrontation was highly inappropriate and unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. It was both uncomfortable and frankly unacceptable in any dining setting.Regarding the food, it was unremarkable and did not live up to the heightened prices. In a neighborhood celebrated for its Chinese cuisine, this was a letdown. In conclusion, my experience at New Big Wong was far from satisfactory, marred by unprofessionalism and lackluster food. I am compelled to rate it one star, and I sincerely hope no other patron has to experience such unpleasantness.

Very unfriendly staff und the expensive food was really bad and not tasty. So please don’t go there to this place and search for better Chinese here in town. Worst nightmare at this restaurant. Sorry but it’s the truth.

We stopped by this Chinese Restaurant ‘New Big Wong’ in Chinatown Washington DC for dinner because many places were closed for the holidays. This place has so many varieties of food on their menu. We ordered the House Special Fried Rice, Seafood Kon Chow Noodles and also Stir-fry Pork with Green Peppers in Black Bean Sauce. The food tasted delicious and came in reasonable portions. The prawns and scallops on the noodles were big and juicy too. This restaurant may look small and a bit outdated but the food tasted good, which is the most important part when you’re searching for places to eat. Improvement in their customer service is highly recommended.

We were not acknowledged until after 20+ minutes of being there. We were planning to dine in but since the server took so long to get to us we decided to do takeout, so instead of the server taking our order she made us follow her to the register to take our order and even then as we were about to place our order she totally disregarded us to tend to a dine in customer, by this time I refused to give this establishment my money and I left.
