Nina May hosted our company dinner on their heated terrace space. The food was fantastic and the staff were very responsive and knowledgeable. They had a stellar wine and cocktail menu, as well. Teodora, their events coordinator, ensured that we were well taken care of and was extremely helpful throughout the set-up process, and helped us accommodate the various dietary restrictions found in our group. Overall, I’d highly recommend you try this place for your next event!
Vegetarian options: The vegetarian options do not feel like an afterthought, but rather are a focus unto themselves.
Dietary restrictions: They can accommodate many restrictions on a case by case basis.

I’ve never had a bad dish or a bad time. The food is always on point and the service has always been top tier. The lasagna on the Thanksgiving menu was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had.

Unfortunately a tragic way to spend Thanksgiving dinner :( The food quality & portion sizes were nowhere near the price point and were served at varying lukewarm temperatures after significant (30m+) delays between courses. Our server went entirely unseen during those periods as well.

We recently held a baby shower in Nina May's semi-private room upstairs, and the event went perfectly! The food was delicious, and the restaurant accommodated our group's multiple dietary constraints. The space was beautiful, and we were able to add a few personal decorations to make it extra special. Finally, the team was amazing - checked in with us regularly to make sure we had enough beverages and that our food came at the right time (even in between 'speeches'), and were so friendly from arrival to heading home! Thank you!
Dietary restrictions: Nina May accommodated our gluten-free guests with delicious modifications/options!

Recommended for a dinner with friends or as a couple. The food was very delicious and the service was efficient. They have a good cocktail menu. It's not a cheap place, but it has good quality and is pleasant.

recently visited and was blown away by the Brussels sprouts—they were fantastic! However, the Pennsylvania chicken was quite dry and lacked flavor, which was disappointing. While I’d definitely recommend the Brussels sprouts, I hope the chicken gets some improvement. Overall, a mixed experience!

We have enjoyed our time at Nina May every single visit - it's such a gem in the DC food scene! We love it so much that we decided to have our wedding there in November 2024. The staff was incredible and so welcoming, the food was amazing (not easy to execute, with a four-course meal for 50 people), and the coordination leading up to the event (led by Teodora on the Nina May team) was exceptional - so responsive, communicative, and committed to making our vision come to life. We are Nina May patrons for life.

This place has been on my "places to try" list for a while due to its high Google Reviews, and I finally got the chance to try it for Sunday brunch.
The restaurant itself is cute and very clean. We opted for the "Chef's Choice" menu and deeply regretted it. We received the salad, which was good, but everything else was extremely bland. Although we didn’t initially plan to give feedback, the manager came by our table to ask about our experience, as we had left most of the items untouched. We shared that we found the food bland. He mentioned they’d received complaints about the food being too salty. I suggested using herbs instead of sodium to improve the flavor.
The manager was professional and seemed genuinely interested in our feedback. After speaking with him, we made it clear that we didn’t expect compensation, but he insisted on comping us by removing one of the chef’s choices and the coffees from our check.
I truly hope they take our feedback to heart, as the restaurant and menu have great potential, but the food needs significant seasoning—especially for an establishment that’s part of a restaurant group. As of now, I’d be hesitant to visit their sister restaurants.

We loved the private dining area on the 2nd floor that our group was able to enjoy. The dedicated bar and cocktail area ensured that we had amazing & predictive service. Our coordinator, Teodora, provided an assortment of menu items for our appetizer, food and beverages that fit into our budget & then created a menu with our company logo. The food was fresh & very delicious and the chef even took time to meet our group and got a round of applause for the delicious meal that he created for us. We will be making this our new place for dinner after the AUSA conference.

Perfect brunch experience. The menu, while limited, is incredibly well thought out and each item is meticulously prepared; a hallmark sign of a fancy restaurant.
The Chef's Choice menu is the greatest bang for your buck, and the seasonal mimosa (apple at this time) was delicious.
Suggestion: the only thing that could have improved our group's experience is if carafe pitchers (a large group brunch staple!) were offered.
