The restaurant with the most history in Washington, next to The White House, has fed many of the US presidents.Very good service, quality and size of the dishes. We did not lack water in the glass at any time. We ordered two main dishes to share and they brought them to us divided, 2 plates for each one, which was a great detail. They serve traditional American food. The oysters rockefeller are delicious, the 1/2 chicken was very juicy, and the trout parmigiana is one of their star dishes.A great restaurant for your trips to Washington DC.Book in advance, it's huge but always full.Kid-friendliness: They are welcome

Historical. Wonderful. Classic Great place and charm. It's very popular with tourists and locals just be prepared to wait for table but it still moces prett quick. Or try and find a seat at one of the bars. Don't forget to go downstairs.

Overall, the menus suited my taste. If you go and wait, the wait will be quite long, so it would be a good idea to make a reservation at least a day in advance. Since we had the brunch menu, there was no aperitif bread or shrimp pasta. I ordered Caesar salad, steak, and burger, and they were all delicious. The server was friendly and it was a good experience.

We ate in the "atrium" which is essentially the lobby of an office building. I'm grateful that they have this area available, because there is always a wait here. They are incredibly busy. The food is delicious and the service is very quick. It is well worth the wait.

We had a wonderful dinner. The delicious Angus meat, the impressive quinoa burger, the delicious calamari. We drank a spectacular bottle of red wine and for the little one a children's menu that came in an activity and coloring sheet, along with a set of crayons. And all this without mentioning that we have been treated wonderfully by a wonderful team of professionals.Totally recommended. And next to the White House!
