Rania is a true culinary experience and one of the best meals I have had in DC. We opted for the 4 course tasting menu where there was a good variety of dishes to choose from for each course. Every single course was excellent especially the shrimp, lamb cheela, and beef short ribs nihari! Service equally good with no rushing between courses and just enough attention to feel like a special dining experience but not suffocating. Would recommend to anyone for a special evening!
No longer Michelin worthy. Food very good but not at a top tier level. Major lack of attention to detail, waitstaff with lack of professionalism and perfection more typical with Michelin stars, ambiance lacking, lighting suboptimal. Felt rushed the entire meal from sit down to paying the bill. Bathroom needed cleaning and paper towels resting on counter. The whole experience was just OK and we were disappointed with the experience. Would not return.
Enjoyed the exceptional service and some of the dishes in the Chef's Tasting Menu. Dishes lacked the creativity and presentation we were expecting given the Michelin rating. Would have loved the food to have been served hot and a little more attention to detail like not sending out cracked pani-puris that leaked. The shrimp dumplings were a favorite but the scallops were a big dud. The main course (Duck) was good but served with cold rice and dal makhani. Cocktails were great....
