I am heartbroken to hear about the closing of Otello. It was my very favorite restaurant in my 7 years living in Washington DC and on the weekend we moved away, we got engaged there. If anyone happens to know how to contact the former owners, we would love any Otello memorabilia that was saved... :( :( :( :( :(

Great restaurant in DC. It has a very homey feel the staff was great! The food was amazing! I ordered the tortellini all's crema e funghi and it was delicious! Will definitely be returning when I'm back in DC.

Thank you to my fellow Yelpers for recommending this spot! My family was traveling to DC from NYC for my brother and I to run the Marine Corps Marathon back in October. Otello was near our hotel and looked like the perfect spot for a pre-race pasta dinner. I made a reservation by phone - super easy! The walk over was a little rough because the neighborhood was celebrating Halloween - but once we were inside the restaurant, the atmosphere was calm and relaxing.
