Eating lunch here is more than incredible … the seafood crab Louie salad was delicious. Loved the white balsamic dressing (not a mayo lady). The white wine from Rombauer was perfectly chilled. But the best part, the server, Danilo, brought it all together for stellar service. So good I forgot to take a picture before indulging! Highly recommending treating yourself!

I made a reservation for brunch at the Waldorf Astoria without realizing that their high tea service is only offered at 12 and 2 p.m.—my reservation was for 11 a.m. When I arrived, I was immediately impressed by the beautiful setting and elegant atmosphere. Peacock Alley offers a beautiful atmosphere, making it a wonderful spot for afternoon tea. The setting features a striking cherry blossom tree, especially lovely during Cherry Blossom season. Though the food quality could be improved, many guests appreciate the wonderful presentation and taste of the dishes. The staff is accommodating, catering to special dietary needs, and service is noted to be impeccable at times. However, the service can also be slow, and prices are quite high for anything purchased here. The pie crust dishes may be a tad dry, but they pair well with the tea, and the Strawberry Green Tea is a recommended choice. Guests are encouraged to spend around 3 hours here, and planning for parking is advisable. Overall, while the decor and ambiance are stunning, the experience can vary.
