We had another wonderful experience at Peacock Alley during our stay at the Waldorf Astoria Washington DC for our 5th wedding anniversary.
I enjoyed the Postmaster’s Breakfast two mornings in a row, which probably says enough about how much I enjoyed it! It was hearty, flavorful, and the perfect way to start the day.

We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast and lunch at Peacock Alley. Breakfast was outstanding, and so was our lunch. The double wagyu burger was fantastic. The service was excellent.
We visited the restaurant and the hostess at the reception told us to wait 50 minutes. We waited patiently, and when we went back to check, she asked us to wait another 10 minutes. After waiting again, we returned and she told us to wait an additional 4 minutes.

Peacock Alley offers a beautiful atmosphere, making it a wonderful spot for afternoon tea. The setting features a striking cherry blossom tree, especially lovely during Cherry Blossom season. Though the food quality could be improved, many guests appreciate the wonderful presentation and taste of the dishes. The staff is accommodating, catering to special dietary needs, and service is noted to be impeccable at times. However, the service can also be slow, and prices are quite high for anything purchased here. The pie crust dishes may be a tad dry, but they pair well with the tea, and the Strawberry Green Tea is a recommended choice. Guests are encouraged to spend around 3 hours here, and planning for parking is advisable. Overall, while the decor and ambiance are stunning, the experience can vary.
