Gelato was tasty but for dark chocolate, it felt pretty sweet and more like milk chocolate and ice cream. Not as good as Dolcezza but same price!
The $8 price for a regular is apparently justified by the extra protein that comes from the numerous bugs flying around. At least the gelato is thick and tastes good.
It was good
Not a long wait , with so many things to pick from
Visited Pitango Gelato for the second time, this time at a different location. We sampled some of their classic flavors like cardamom and black tea, both rich and aromatic.
This visit, we tried a few new ones — stracciatella, dark chocolate, chocolate hazelnut, and fior di latte. Each was creamy, flavorful, and true to authentic Italian-style gelato.
Fantastic service and amazing gelato.
Great gelato nearby the national archives for the hot summer day
Ice creams are soo good here , even the place is clean & prices are reasonable. Definetly can try this place if you are nearby
A great place to go if you want to play lemonade stand. Their lemonade is good, just playing, they don’t sell that (at least I think they don’t). I had a cappuccino and finished it in…..well, it took awhile. It was so hot it almost burned me. I didn’t order hot, I mean, come on. Their lemonade, I mean coffee, is degrading. I mean who wants to drink coffee that makes them feel bad. Maybe if it was being sold for 25 cents, ugh
I stopped by Pitango for dessert, and it definitely hit the spot! 😋 I tried two flavors: Stracciatella (vanilla with chocolate chips) and Fondente (dark chocolate). I don't usually eat gelato, so I was pleasantly surprised by the creaminess. The service was excellent; I wasn’t sure what to choose, but the cashier helped me by offering samples and sharing details about each flavor I tried. One of the chocolate flavors I sampled was incredibly rich and chocolatey—it's water-based and vegan-friendly, which was a first for me! The restaurant was nice, clean, and had indoor seating that could accommodate several people, but I decided to take my treat to go.

I found an excellent Cranberry Scone! Thank you. This is a small but perfectly location in downtown DC.
Parking: Plan to walk a distance, but the entire district is lovely to walk through.

creamy satisfaction, great flavors
Strawberry and pistachio ice cream tasted really weird and completely artificial in flavor.

Excellent service! I ordered the Brownie Sundae. It was a great value. However, it could have had more brownies. Lastly, the gelato was creamy and not too sweet.
