My friend and I went on a Sunday and it was pretty quiet, but the atmosphere was so fun and safe feeling, the service was obviously great, and we plan on coming back on a busier weekend to check it out!

My basic Thursday was made splendid by Pitchers staff. I didn't get the lady security guard name, but she has a great personality and gave me recommendation food. (Thank you, the burger was 🔥) Miguel the bartender greeted me right away and the drinks were delicious and festive. Miguel's personality and customer service is Top notch.
I also enjoyed listening/laughing at the Trivia game that night as well.

Thank you, I'll be back .

me and my friends had a horrible experience. this is not a safe space at all. we were treated with so much hostility from a female security. she slammed the door on our faces TWICE. she said this wasn’t an entrance even tho the door was visibly open. she didn’t say where the actual entrance was or anything just straight up rude and disrespectful. i don’t recommend this place to anybody at all.

So my friends and I went here after hearing how welcoming they’d be….they were not. I don’t know what happened but the female security slammed the door in our faces instead of communicating why we couldn’t enter through the door that was visibly open. Definitely not a safe space and they need to do better because other people saw what she did and was in equal shock.

Great bar and really a must try for the area. Staff were amazing, drinks were great, and the music was awesome. Had so much fun dancing all night, and the bar itself has so many floors that you never get bored.

A standout has to be the videogame room. Was completely surprised when we stumbled across this, and it made our night.

Very cool bar, will absolutely go back.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I had an absolutely fantastic time at Pitchers DC! The atmosphere was lively but still comfortable, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the service was top notch from beginning to end. The drinks selection was excellent—great cocktails, good variety, nicely crafted. The food was tasty and well presented. Overall, a perfect spot for hanging out with friends or grabbing a casual bite. Would definitely recommend and will be back!

I've been to Pitchers many times, and always recommend it as a must see of the queer scene in DC. Most recently I went for their Wednesday karaoke, which was a blast! (but if anyone reads this, please fix the sound! The music is too loud for the mic and it's hard to hear people sing). The food here is really good and reasonably priced for bar food in DC, and the staff here is always amazing.

My friend and I, both people of color, visited this bar on a Thursday night around 10 PM for a casual night out. The bartenders were fantastic and welcoming throughout the evening, which made the experience enjoyable at first.

Around midnight, we stepped outside for a couple of minutes to get some fresh air. When we tried to re-enter, we were abruptly stopped by a bald white bouncer who told us we weren’t allowed back in without explanation. We waited outside for our ride and watched at least six white people walk in without any issue. We even attempted to follow another white individual in, only to be blocked once again by the same bouncer.

The contrast in how we were treated compared to others was clear, unsettling, and deeply disappointing. As someone who just moved here from NYC, this was one of the most blatantly discriminatory experiences I've had.

People of color should be aware that this establishment may not be as welcoming as it appears. Staff training and accountability particularly for security are urgently needed. Hospitality should never come with conditions based on race.
