Writing this in hopes the owner sees this. We visited on a cold afternoon in hopes for hot coffee and a sweet. The almond croissant was incredible and the cupcakes delicious. There is a staff member though middle to older woman who is incredibly rude and snapped at the other young boy who offered us a bag. “Why do you say things like that. We dont have any bags.” She also tried to tell us a Latte and a Cappuccino were the same thing and that the machine couldnt do a good job. The coffee was AWFUL to the point we were afraid to drink it. Additionally on a cold day, there is no where to sit only a small table that the rude staff member sits at clearly bothered to do her job so we sat at the two bar seats available. Such a shame as the pastries were great. Hoping the owner sees this and can fix the situation with the staff

I’m surprised to see the ratings from previous customers. I enjoyed the coffee and breakfast sandwiches. Later, I returned in the evening for dessert and a decaf coffee.

Ordered an oatmeal raisin cookie and a brownie to go, both were disappointing. Flavor not there and not worth the price. Customer service was lackluster. Will not return.

Wanted a sweet treat after lunch. This bakery was right where the Uber was picking us up but I should have looked at the reviews. What we got ranged from really good to completely bland.
Macaroon - mid. As other people mentioned, not flakey.
Vanilla cupcake - bland. The texture was good for a dense cake but just no flavor
Lemon bar - my husband said this was really good
Hot chocolate - this was absolutely excellent. If I was walking by, I would order this again.

Soggy crust and wilted sad fruit on my tart. Huge disappointment for the price. Wegmans has got this beat by miles…

I stopped by District Praline after visiting Starbucks, hoping to grab a cookie to pair with my tea. The bakery offers macarons, pastries, and cookies, which looked appealing from the outside.

Unfortunately, the customer service was underwhelming. The staff was short and not very helpful—when I asked questions about the products, they couldn’t offer any real suggestions or guidance. It felt like they weren’t interested in creating a welcoming experience.

I ordered a lemon drop cookie, which was okay—not bad, but nothing memorable. What really stood out was the price: over $3 for one cookie, with no deals for buying multiple. I purchased it because I wasn’t feeling well and just wanted something small to enjoy with my tea, but on a regular day, I wouldn’t pay that much for a single cookie.

To top it off, when I asked for a printed receipt, I was told the machine was broken. While things happen, I believe that if a customer requests a receipt, one should be provided in print form.

Overall, the concept of the bakery is nice, but the execution and customer service fall short. I won’t be returning—mainly due to high prices, unhelpful staff, and poor accountability at the register.

Well I walked in at 7:25pm - Young guy working looked at me very oddly and just turned around. Gave him a moment and he kept his back to me. So I said “Hey boss how are you” … he mumbled something. I asked can I just get a frozen lemonade… he said oh nahhh we not making those today, and we about to close. I just said 4sure and walked out. Checked the time and they close at 8pm. SMH

Insanely, laughable prices for basic taste, and stale items. Purchased cookies, over $3.00 each only to experience boring, basic, stale food. I was hopeful the price represented something that would be “worth” it but this bakery is just an over priced rip off. Don’t waste your $$$ here. Anyone who charges $3.25 for one single boring tasteless cookie doesn’t deserve your $$$.

There are no pralines but they do have praline cookies that were good. We all ordered the seasonal frozen lemonade. NOT what we expected, but BETTER. Powdery and tart! Once the heat started to melt them into a slush you’ll need a straw but start with a spoon. Each one is hand made so be patient! Yummy!

I came to this shop earlier today while exploring the wharf area in DC. It seemed like a cute and exciting place from the outside. To my dismay, inside was different story. I’m not sure what their hours are, but at 2pm there was only one young lady working and the pastry case were pretty skimp. Not much to choose from at all. I ended up walking out without purchasing anything and there were other people inside who seem to have been waiting for a long time as well.

I was made VERY SICK by a “gluten free” almond sable RECOMMENDED to me by the worker. It is NOT gluten free according to the website…. TERRIBLE!! CELIACS BEWARE!!! THEY DO NOT TAKE FOOD ALLERGIES SERIOUSLY! I can’t believe this happened and now my trip is ruined :( I’m gonna be sick for days because they didn’t care.
PLEASE TAKE ALLERGIES SERIOUSLY. I’m so upset.

First time seeing the business. Large space, not needed, but the cupcakes looked great. Bought one, took it back to my hotel room and.... It was dry and tasted more like cornbread. I am local to DC and will not be back.

2/10. Would not recommend.
I tried the macaroons and they were really disappointing. They were shallow, hard, and just didn’t taste right. The tiramisu was way too bitter, and I’ve had enough good ones to know this wasn’t it. Everything was also super overpriced for the quality. Overall, not worth it.
