Location is great, food is even better. Love this place.

Service was good, friendly and the food was awesome.

The food was good, the location was shabby and not well cleaned. The owner was there playing on the computer, while the floors could have been cleaned, tables wiped down, coffee area cleaned and leaves removed. The order taker was nice, which is why the score is what it is. Coffee was included in the price, which was nice. Put some attention into the physical plant and the customers will come.

Had a great experience this morning! The staff was incredible. I was well taken care of for the entire experience, and they even went to get an ingredient they were out of so they could make my breakfast sandwich! I got free home fries for the wait which were absolutely incredible. Will continue to dine here :)

This is a real bagel place. Not sure why the reviews slant South of 4 stars.

Great food! Employees are always helpful & smiling! The owner greets & speaks to the costumers! Added touch.

Thank goodness the old owners are gone. Rob and his wife were absolutely terrible. I cringed every time my kids wanted to come her for a slice of pizza or bagel because I would have to see Rob. The new owners are a million times better. Slowly and steadily, pumpernickels has established itself as a neighborhood deli.

Usually, when I come here, I get a veggie omelet w/home-fries. Love them both. This morning, it was crowded (which is good), so I patiently waited until others submitted their orders, even letting them go ahead of me. Using a wheelchair, I'd rather just wait than get in the middle of a crown. Finally, I decided to submit my order, and I greeted the cashier/owner (and he did the same), thinking I was about to give my order. Instead, a couple came behind me, and he took THEIR order instead, and then walked away! I was sitting directly in front of the register, haha. Still, I waited, and he never returned to me. So, I ended up leaving, after being there for 20 minutes w/o my veggie omelet. BUT, there was this nice patron who asked if I got what I needed, ordered. He said that he would get it for me. That was very kind, but I had to leave. So, I just told him that "I appreciated it and thank you." Again, THANK YOU, Sir! Shon

I have been coming to this place since I was a kid. While I was back in town the other day I went back and had a slice. Ever since the place remodelled it has lost it's mystique. There was also a sign outside that read "under new management". Im afraid pumpernickels just isn't the same. Pizza was still pretty good.

I am so happy ROB is back this is our lunch spot my boss love the wraps I love the breakfast sandwiches. The pizza is always good and fresh. Thanks for coming back ROB!!!!.... This Morning 12/21 I went in to get breakfast for me and my staff. The female at the front I gave her my order she repeated it back and she got it wrong so I said it slow for her and she wrote it down. Then she told me she was new no problem she asked me if I wanted my sandwich in a tray. I said no they never put it in a tray just want my sandwich like normal. Then I spoke to Jim (GM) and then he came over and said no he moved the coffee pots to the side and said ''Tina you're being disrespectful'' I said how he said I told the woman to go back to her country. Note: I am on my phone the whole time talking to a MPD Officer friend and he asked me what just happened. I am confused he accused me of saying something racist to that woman I didn't I just said I do not want my sandwich in a tray. So I didn't get anything because he accused me not asking me he told me what he thought I said. If he asked that woman she will tell him the same I said no I do not want my sandwich in a tray. Jim was disrespectful to me and I am looking to talk to Rob about ASAP.....For real I am just not going there no one if anyone my job want something from there they can go get it themselves I am done. Its always something with that place when Rob is not around.

Great wraps, breakfast, and subs! I can't get away from THE JERRY! Next week I will try something new. I highly recommend this place. I just met the owner yesterday and he is very nice!

This is the 3rd time we spent over $17 for 2 pizza specials and they burnt the pizza. Called them to tell them the pizza taste burnt. The guy said its not burnt I am looking at it now. I said it is and he said take a picture REALLY!!! The first pizza he was going to serve me was black burnt up bad. I stayed there for 20 mins for them to make other one. Again it was still burnt. Just a waste of lunch money ($17) mostly waste of space on the block they need help new management or something. The Customer Service is poor and the food is sad.

you gotta try the Chevy Chase Special if you come for breakfast!

The sausage, egg, and cheese on a toasted everything bagel is divine. Combine that with outdoor seating on a beautiful day, and you have a cheap, delicious meal.
