Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard in Washington, DC is a great spot if you’re looking for a refreshing dessert on a warm day. The location itself is a smaller building with a limited parking lot, so parking can be a little tight during busy times, but once you arrive, the experience is definitely worth it. Even though the location is small, it has everything you need and still feels clean, organized, and welcoming.

We decided to try the blue raspberry custard, and it was absolutely amazing. The combination of the Italian ice and frozen custard blended together perfectly. The blue raspberry flavor was sweet, flavorful, and refreshing, while the custard added a rich and creamy texture that made the entire dessert taste incredible. Every bite was smooth, cold, and delicious. If you enjoy sweet frozen treats, this is definitely something we highly recommend trying.

One thing that really stood out during our visit was the customer service. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and patient while helping customers. They created a positive atmosphere from the moment we walked in, which made the experience even better. It’s always nice visiting a place where the employees genuinely seem happy and treat everyone kindly.

Another great thing about Rita’s is the pricing. The portions are good for what you pay, and the prices are very affordable compared to many dessert places today. You can enjoy a really good treat without feeling like you spent too much money.

Between the delicious frozen treats, friendly staff, and affordable prices, this is definitely a spot we would come back to again. Just left there. They think because a customer is nice they can sit comfortably in their rudeness. Iwas not greeted coming or going.

the young girl at the cash register was very aggressive with taking my order. I havent shopped here before and came for someone else so i was confused as to how exactly to order the ice. She was so thrown off that i didnt know exactly what HOW to say it. Even though i made it very clear what i wanted; just didnt know the exact way the menu words it.

The manager (light brownskin black odd looking fellow) was no better. He didnt greet he was walking around talking on the phone. He seemed just as negatively affected by my, a polite-paying-customer’s presence.

To top off the negative experience there was something in my ice and i asked them to just wipe the top off and replace it because it truly wasnt that deep they acted like I did something to them for not being irate and upset about it.

This Rita's is my favorite spot.. Best Location Rhode Island Ave. NE Washington.. The staff is so professional, customer service is always on point
