Rocklands has had good food for ages - a highly reliable option. We recently got our Mother’s Day meal from them, and they missed one thing that we had ordered. Mistakes happen - the key is how they handle it. A guy from Rocklands called me within 5 minutes of my responding to a text survey where I noted that we were missing an item. I’m a fan of BBQ and have made it a mission to sample local places around the country. Have been here a few times and have settled on 3 stars. Food is pretty good but not great. I’ve focused on the pulled pork and brisket. Only one type of BBQ sauce?? Service varies from acceptable to poor. I was hoping for better. I think they have a tough time getting the right people behind the counter in DC.

Rockland’s BBQ is hands down my go-to barbecue spot! When I lived in Arlington, it was my favorite. It probably also helped that I lived right across the street. Now that I’m in DC, I’ve tried plenty of other BBQ places—but I always come back to Rockland’s. I’m so glad there’s a DC location I can order from.
