Sette Osteria Reviews
Deplorable service, the waitress spills drinks on people, drinks like beer for example are hot, the waiter makes mistakes in the dishes, brings unordered dishes, a waiter passes between the tables with the trash cans. The food is limited and the pasta is so cooked that it forms a compact block on the plate. Moreover, it’s extremely bland. I absolutely do not recommend!!!!
I was in DC for an education seminar, and our group of six ate dinner here. I ordered the Pappardelle Alfredo and for dessert, I chose the cheesecake, which was the best that I've ever had at a restaurant. It has a hint of lemon, and it was delicious. The staff was very attentive, friendly, and cheerful, which is important to me. I will definitely stop by again the next time I'm in DC.
Omg! I ordered online and the food was phenomenal. It tasted like the noodles were made in house, it was well seasoned and I could taste everything from the pancetta to the Parmesan cheese.
I got a half portion-which was more than enough.
I can’t wait to try other dishes!

Sette Osteria is a welcoming restaurant that serves excellent food and offers a relaxed atmosphere. The homemade pasta, including the Ravioli della Nonna, is truly delicious, featuring pumpkin ravioli with sage butter sauce and a crunchy, slightly sweet topping. The Branzino is a standout dish, highlighted by a beautiful lemon accent. The restaurant has a good selection of wines and cocktails, and the gelato is also really good. The seafood pasta can sometimes lack flavor and seem pre-cooked, but dishes like the Salsiccia with sausage and sauce are highly praised for being phenomenal—having enough bite to be interesting without being overly spicy. The risotto with short rib is delicious, with a strong saffron flavor, and the chicken piccata is also enjoyed by many. The side of broccolini, with lots of garlic, is very good. Service is attentive without being overwhelming, and food and drinks come at the right time and temperature. The restaurant is a great spot for a casual meal with family and friends, especially when sitting outside in Dupont Circle. The brunch options, including the brunch burger with house potatoes, pancakes, and crab cake benedicts, are perfect for a relaxed weekend.
Recent reviews mention that the food was good, with the burrata caprese and spaghetti with clams receiving praise, and the tiramisu being enjoyed as a dessert. However, some guests had negative experiences due to being crowded, with rude service and issues like overflowing toilets. Food quality was sometimes bland, and noise levels made it hard to hear. Despite this, others found the ravioli and lasagna tasty, and praised the staff, especially the bartender and server, for their excellent service. Overall, Sette Osteria remains a place known for good food, a pleasant environment, and attentive service when conditions are right.
