Ordered via DoorDash and wasn’t impressed at all. I’ve had a few gourmet cupcake places and this is easily the weakest. The cupcake was relatively small, dry, and had way too much frosting for the size. I wouldn’t buy from them again.

BEST CUPCAKES IN THE DMV!! Anywhere else is highly overrated except for Sprinkles. Always fresh, great selection, and delicious icing. I personally recommend red velvet or salted caramel.

I had the Vietnamese coffee and salty caramel cupcakes. Both were excellent!

I’ve been a loyal customer of Sprinkles for years, always loving their cupcakes for their consistent size, appearance, and amazing taste. Unfortunately, my recent order didn’t live up to those high standards at all.

The cupcakes I received today were uneven in size and looked very rushed, nothing like the quality I’ve come to expect. I purchased these treats for staff during the government furlough, hoping to brighten their day. Instead, what showed up—definitely did not say “thank you”!.

I’m really disappointed by the quality drop and hope the bakery can address this issue, because this isn’t what loyal customers deserve.

Been coming to Sprinkles for about three years and they never disappoint. For me Georgetown cupcake is extremely dry, and Sprinkles is always perfect. The vegan red velvet is the star of the show...
I think it's all based on the individual of how they like their cupcake...Sprinkles has my vote, Baked and Wired, and then Georgetown cupcake.

The people who work there are very friendly but try to go when they are freshly baked. Also, I would choose something that has a cream cheese frosting, the vanilla leaves something to be desired.

Everytime I’ve gotten cupcakes from here they have been dry as hell. Literally induced choking…..do not waste your money

My daughter and I made the trip to Georgetown specifically to visit Sprinkles. Unfortunately the cupcakes fell short of the hype. The staff was absolutely amazing and super friendly. That was the only good thing. The cupcakes were dry and the frosting tasted oily on the red velvet. There was an unpleasant aftertaste from the candy apple. For the price of the cupcakes, our expectations were high, just wish the taste measured up.

The cupcakes are NASTY. But the circular decoration on top taste like Death. Absolutely sickening I had to brush my teeth and mouth wash immediately after I spit it out

I certainly seem to be in a minority with this opinion, but I actually thought the cupcakes I got from this place were kinda gross 😭I usually go to Georgetown Cupcakes to satisfy my sweet tooth, but I'd always been curious about Sprinkles, so finally decided to give them a try. I ordered a red velvet, and a salted caramel. They both came with the circular little edible decoration on the top... guys, the decoration tasted VILE. Like cough syrup. I had to spit them out. The frosting on both cupcakes had an unpleasant aftertaste that reminded me of plastic. The cake part was bland and kind of bitter. And the worst part? I erroneously assumed that since the cupcakes were about twice as expensive as the ones from Georgetown Cupcakes, that they must also be larger. Well, they were roughly the same size. I wasted 13ish bucks on 2 tiny yucky cupcakes. Definitely won't order from here again.

Happened to walk past the shop and decided to purchase 4 cupcakes as a birthday treat. We were the only people in the shop and we saw only one employee. We ordered through the computer kiosk which seemed ridiculous given that the sole employee was just standing there smiling at us. Selected 4 different cupcakes and can honestly say each flavor was equally dry, bland and unappetizing. The chocolate marshmallow flavor crumbled all over the place and maybe contained a 1/2 tsp of marshmallow cream in the middle. The dark chocolate was even more dry. The banana flavor reminded us of grocery store banana bread. The only saving grace was the cinnamon frosting on the cinnamon cupcake but the yellow cake upon which it rested was equally dry and oddly lumpy. A complete fail. Not sure how this chain ever made it to the big time. Pretty but tasteless, overpriced and small cupcakes.
