If you're looking for a solid boba place or dessert place in Georgetown, definitely check out Sugar Lab. I wasn't super impressed when they first opened, but I went back not too long ago, and they worked ALL of their kinks...and they have the best matcha gelato I've ever tasted. Had not had the bubble tea there yet but the egg waffle is absolutely amazing. I went for the matches flavored egg waffle and it's the perfect blent and eggy sweetness and bitter matcha. I also had matcha and chocolate gelato topping with crushed peanuts, chocolate drizzle, and mochi, all combined to give a rich matcha and nutty flavor. Definitely recommend!

This place is incredible! It's not that busy, and although well know for their bubble tea, their ice cream is amazing. You can buy a giant scoop of ice cream in an actual waffle with toppings for $9 or so including tax. And the flavors are delicious!! Highly recommend as a pop in or sit down for one of these incredible cones.
