Two words. Pleasantly surprised. I came here on a Wednesday night, which is when Artemis have RnB night with live music. I arrived 30 mins early to ensure I had a seat. I walk in and the place is empty, which is usually not a good sign. I sat at the bar, and the bartender was super cool and nice. She ensured my group that the place would fill up. I ordered a drink and the catfish filet sandwich. The drink was a real drink if you know what I mean. No extra frills, nice, strong, and right to the point. Just the kind I like. The catfish was surprising really good too. The show kicks off and the band and the lead singer was great. They covered songs that we all knew, and my group and I sang along and had a great time. Also, one of the band members thanked us for coming and supporting and purchased a shot for my friend who's birthday it was. And as the bartender promised, the place filled up and the whole vibe was perfect. I'm glad we stuck around. If you're looking for live music on a Wednesday night, check out this place. It's not super flashy or anything, but you'll have a good time.

The "dj" for karaoke night was the worst I've seen. He skipped over people so bad that they left, he was singing songs over the people who were doing the karaoke (when someone is up for karaoke why is the dj on the mic singing?), and he was very disrespectful to patrons... one guy came up to sing and he told him he needed to lose weight and eat better. It was very uncomfortable. When I told him as a customer that was hard to watch he said this is not his job and he doesn't care. It wasn't a bad spot but I would not go back here just to not support him.

Hookah bar/lounge. We didn’t realize it was until we got there. We were there for a march madness game on a Saturday afternoon and it checked off all our boxes. Not crowded. Good wings, great fries, fast service and intimate space. They have dollar beers from 5-6pm on weekdays. Haven’t seen prices like that in yrs

The music was excellent! (S/O to Biscuit The Drummer and Bassist Mr. D Turner.) The food looked delicious but my order never came. I spent $100 for hook and a bottle of champagne.

Jessica was a wonderful companion at the bar. Made a terribly stormy wet evening into a pleasurable experience. Also made a killer Kahlua and coffee. House music was great although they pumped it up so loud I had to leave.

I came here for an event this weekend on the 2nd floor and had a lot of fun. The bartender did a great job solo with a large group and the karaoke on the 1st floor was a lot of fun. I don't think it's a place I'd seek out alone as I'm never in this area of the city and it seems more of a fun place in a group.

One of the worst bar experiences in DC. Walked in to an empty place on Sunday afternoon to have a beer and watch a game. Jesse the bartender advised on a beer. Ordered that with fries. I realized I didn't like the beer. Barkeep said it was a hazy, it wasn't. Nevertheless apologized to the bartender and ordered a safer choice. Asked to close out. 25 mins later I wasn't closed out, bartender never put in order for fries. Left having drank half a beer with a $20 tab. No thanks, never again.

Great place to watch the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. The catfish sandwich is absolutely fantabulous!! There is a DJ that play New Orleans Bounce and Secondline music too.

Overcharged me and made weird looks when i enquired about it. They also add mandatory 20% gratuity, (which is fine) but they then prompt you for a tip on top without really explaining that they already charge for gratuity which I only noticed when looking at the bill closely. The best thing about this place is the New Orleans Saints watch party
