This is a hidden gem! Stopped by for happy hour. The menu offered a good variety of food. The seafood nachos were amazing! Flavorful and cheesy with the right amount of heat. The margarita I ordered was perfect (not too sour, not too sweet). The only downside was the service. It took about 30 minutes to receive my food, in an empty restaurant. One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in DC. There aren’t many restaurants we go back and back again but this is one of them. The food is consistently oh so delicious! We try to go at least once a month or every two months.
We were underwhelmed when entering the restaurant. It has a bar down most of one side with booths lining the opposite side. Perhaps if there are more customers present it would present a better atmosphere. However, the food was delicious. Our party of 3 enjoyed 2 appetizers, the Oysters Al Carbon and Shrimp and Chorizo Queso. Both were tasty although I would have preferred chips with the queso instead of the soft tortillas.
