The square is one of the more quiet food halls in DC, and is closed on Sundays, BUT is personally one of my favorite spots to go when I want to work off my laptop and be in a nice space. The building/central area is beautiful (it’s an indoor “courtyard” feel— where the skylights illuminate the space) and I can always find a seat. Wonderful place to have decent lunch. The African food joint is the best of all. Nigerian jollof and the protein options were perfect. They have good meals at 11-15$
This was a quirky find that I stumbled upon by accident. Imagine a shiek, vibing food court where you can wander around for lunch, and then return to for dinner to watch the World Cup. Multiple food options and lots of seating. I was only there for a short while while England played France in 2026 finals. But the entire atrium lit up. I need to go back and try the food

During the week, The Square tends to be quieter from Monday to Wednesday but becomes busier from Thursday onward. It is a popular spot for lunch, meetings, or catching up with friends, especially at the tapas bar, which is often packed. The space also serves mocktails, kombucha, sushi, pizza, Mexican fare, churros, and ice cream. The bathrooms are modern and clean, and a cool vending machine offers personal items. Parking is convenient with free building lot parking for up to three hours.
In addition to The Square, there is a nearby food hall inside an office building lobby, featuring high ceilings, an art gallery, and several food vendors. Options are limited, with a sushi bar offering only three rolls and a restaurant called Jamón Jamón serving overpriced, mediocre Spanish-style dishes. The food hall is more suitable for grab-and-go meals or a quick drink, with a large bar area and seating for after-hours relaxation. Overall, The Square is a versatile and attractive venue for various social and dining experiences, with an upscale vibe and a range of options, though some food choices may disappoint.
