A little late in posting my review for this place but by no means a reflection on them. Had a birthday party at Tiny Tiki and my guests and I had a fabulous time. The place is small and intimate, but we were able to get about 40 people in there comfortably. Sohan was great to work with, easy to communicate and quick to respond. The food was catered by the restaurant connected to the bar, and friends are still talking about the fried shrimp and egg rolls, weeks later. The drinks were reasonably priced for a downtown space in DC, as well as being very tasty. We had a great time, and the bar got many compliments and people planning to come back on their next evening out. Definitely consider them for private events, as well as just a chill evening with friends or a date.

This place is CLASSIC tiki. Dark and tropical with a plethora of fruity cocktails to delight the senses. Dan is a master at his craft.

Freaking amazing tiki bar. The drinks are delicious, the Thai place upstairs will bring food down here if you want it (which is first class), and the atmosphere is popping. 10 out of 10 - would recommend.

Shareef (bartender) is a real one. The drinks were fantastic and the service was even better. Glad I got to go to this place while working in in DC. I recommend the Ben Paxton (soon to be menu item).

Came here on a lark and had a great time. The bartender Dan answered our questions and made great recommendations. The drinks were top notch and the decor cool and relaxing. Worth a visit or three.

One of the cutest bars in DC. "Hidden gem" is a cliche but this really is one. Delicious drinks, friendly vibe, like the living room of someone really cool and obsessed with tiki culture.

Bartender is real slow. Seems like his first gig considering it took 45min to get our first drink with only 15 people in the bar. The "decor" is a cross between the dollar store and a Mexican street vendor. Pretty good place to sober up.Additionally the owner seems to react to negative criticism by insulting the way their patrons look.

Definitely call ahead to make sure they’re open. Their website says they open at 4, we went there just after 5 and they were still closed. A lady in the resturant upstairs said she “thought they opened around 6.” The next day we went there around 10:30, and they were closed for a private event. We were pretty disappointed since we’re visiting from out of town and love tiki bars - we make a point of visiting them in any new city we visit - and we had Ubered pretty far out of our way to go there. They should really do a better job of updating their website. I’m sure it could be a fun place that I would have recommended to all my friends and colleagues who visit DC, but I guess I’ll never know.

I don't come to bars often. This place may be changing that. We were part of a large group. Tons of orders for drinks and goods being placed. The staff was very professional and fast. I'm not sure how they got everything right. The fried Rice with shrimp eggs and corn was delicious. Too many places over cook fried rice. Not an issue here. Run of the mill beers like Corona , Stella and Heineken are quite affordable as well.

Such a cute place and a great find. Ambiance was great, bartender was warm and friendly even though she was a bit busy. Only thing holding me back from a 5 is the Painkiller — I would have guessed it was a rum soda. I couldn’t taste the pineapple, orange, or coconut at all which is unusual for a Painkiller. My friend got a different drink and liked it a lot! I’ll definitely be back to try more of their cocktail menu
Super chill.. awsome place
