The bar is good but let down by 2 things. First I'm 36 and the bouncer stopped me to ID check me and he didn't have a pleasant attitude, I guess the just for men is working too well. Secondly they add 20% gratuity to the bill but when the bill comes there's the usual tip field. If you want to be a European bar who pays their staff then don't ask for a tip. Otherwise if you want tips then don't charge 20% by default. If it wasn't for these 2 issues I'd give 5 stars.

i asked twice if the 5buck dealnis on. ordered 2. and got two tiny bottles for 12bucks. apparently 1buck gratuity on each. first of all I thought it was half a liter, second of all. Why do you think I asked twice. price is price. overprized bullshit

This is a Bay Area sports bar in DC! The hubby & I visited while we were on vacation to watch the 49er season opener against the Jets & had a blast! The staff was wonderful, the owner Gracie ( we didn't know she was the owner until the end of the night) was rocking it, and the crowd was AWESOME! Being season ticket holders, the energy felt like we were at a game. Anytime we're in DC, we'll be back.... on a side note, we found out our niece had a blast here watching the 2014 Giants World Series.
If youre a sports lover, especially Bay Area sports, this is THE PLACE to be!

SKETCHY HIDDEN “SERVICE CHARGE”. As a former server and bartender, I always tip well, but a 20% automatic gratuity was surreptitiously included and the bartender tried to hide this so we’d tip an additional 20%. Suss as hell.

Used to love this place when I was younger. But it's really hard to justify the college dive atmosphere (super loud at times, dirty, dusty, old/broken furniture, very few drink options, mostly bottles/cans) with the prices. I had 3 draft beers and a canned ginger beer and the tab was $40.
