One thing I really love is that the cream is not overly sweet like many other bakeries. The flavors are balanced perfectly, which makes the desserts even more enjoyable. Everything tastes fresh, light, and high quality. The only thing I would say is that the prices are a little high. I do understand why because the cakes are beautifully made, the ingredients seem premium, and the whole experience feels special. “We've now had Viva Vegan make at least half a dozen custom cakes for us over the last couple of years, and they've all been excellent! The head baker/owner Evangelina can handle any dietary constraints. One of our recent cakes had to be gluten free and also avoid a few other common ingredients, and the cake was still very fluffy and moist and delicious... a big hit among all of our guests! She uses organic and high quality ingredients as well, which no other bakery in town does that I know of.“

“While I like most of Stoltzfus’s items, I’ve been disappointed in their chicken salad. It used to be a staple in our home but seems like they’ve changed the recipe. It’s now so runny with mayo (or whatever they use) that it plops right off our sandwiches. They’ve also seem to cut back on the celery which added a nice contrasting crunch. Please bring back the old recipe.“

“They can be busy. If you are bound and determined to have some of their delectable food, take the minute to look at the menu and place an online order that you can waltz in and pick up.
In my humble opinion, their food is worth the wait.
Perfectly toasted bread on a breakfast sandwich with egg, sausage or bacon, choice of three vegetables, and choice of cheese, for a very reasonable $9. Forgot to mention their smashed potatoes on the side. Soft yet moist with gently cooked onions. Absolutely delicious.
