“Despite living just 20 minutes from the brewery and being an avid beer lover, for whatever reason my husband and I hadn’t been to twisted irons. We decided to make a visit and then were kicking ourselves for not coming sooner! Often if you’re not a “regular” at these breweries you’re ignored, not here. The staff were amazing! They made us feel welcome, and made beer suggestions based on our style of beer choices. The beers were delicious and the vibes were vibin’. We left raving… until we noticed our card was charged for substantially more than we authorized. BUT! Literally within minutes of me contacting the bar, they sincerely apologized for the fat finger and refunded the money. I debated adding that little negative thing, but it’s important for others to know that despite making a mistake, how quickly they rectified it while also being so kind. “We were visiting Newark for a furry convention nearby and my partner and I got stuck in a random hailstorm on our way to Chipotle down the street. We took cover in Home Grown and found out it's got a large selection of vegan selections, which was a surprise! We took the opportunity for a date and our server, Dana, was wonderful. They introduced us to the restaurant and gave us an overview of the menu, specials, and their favorite drink. We ended up ordering the Maple Barbecue seitan wings, the casserole style loaded fries, the seitan birria tacos, the winter mac, and Dana's favorite drink, the Bird by Bird. The drink was amazing and a perfect choice with all of the food being incredible. I wish there was one near where we live. What an absolutely wonderful date.“

We had a surprise going away party and Brad made sure to answer our questions and reserve an area for us. I live in Florida and everything still ran smooth. We had about 60 people show. We were able to decorate and just relax. Maddie was our bartender and a manager(I’m sorry I forget your name) was helping her when needed. Maddie was great, wonderful personality, knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. Our guest of honor was completely surprised and thanks to the venue for helping bring it all together. We will most certainly come back when we visit.
