I passed this for many years on my way to rehobeth beach. Boy, was I missing out. Full disclosure, I have only ever gotten a milkshake. Milkshakes were a 10/10. Price point is right, they pack the cup full for a thick shake, and the flavors to choose from are endless and I never had a bad one!

The friendly staff provide excellent service with a smile, although some reviews mention that service can be hit or miss at times. This location is mainly open during the summer months and serves as a great pitstop to break up the drive from the city to the beach, or vice versa. Vanderwende's ice cream is known for being some of the best farm-fresh ice cream around, and customers can enjoy generous scoop portions. In addition to their delicious ice cream, they also sell jams, milk, and other treats. Guests recommend trying the highly-recommended coconut flavor and the Peanut Butter Fudge Crunch in a waffle cone. While it can get busy, the reasonable prices make it worth the stop. This charming creamery is a great spot to indulge in a sweet treat and relax for about half an hour.
