“In my opinion, Vanderwende Ice Cream is one of the best places to get ice cream in Sussex County . Their homemade, farm-fresh ice cream is always rich, creamy, and consistently delicious.

The Greenwood location is one of my favorites. It’s smaller than some of their other locations, which means it’s usually less crowded and much easier to get in and out. There’s plenty of parking, and they even have a playground, making it a great stop for families with kids.

If you’re looking for amazing ice cream in a relaxed setting, I highly recommend stopping by Vanderwende. It’s definitely worth the trip!”

“I went to the Wayback Burgers spot on greenwood. I deliver items out there from Virginia. The food was amazing. I got the cheesesteak combo. One of the best cheesesteaks I’ve ever had. Nick customer service is top of the line. Always makes me feel welcomed. I love this place and recommend it to you all.”

“Weekends from end of April until about Labor Day, they sell some of the best BBQ chicken you can find anywhere as a fundraiser. I believe the hours are 8 am until they are sold out - usually 1 or 2 pm. The fire department itself, like nearly all fire departments in Delaware, is a volunteer organization. Our fine people serve the community, protecting the town and outlying areas of Greenwood Delaware.”

“Went for brunch, sat in the heated, enclosed outdoor area and had a delicious breakfast quesadilla with a side of sausage gravy. Got a spicy bloody Mary that was tasty. Then moved to the bar and had Jordan as our bartender, he was friendly and made yummy drinks. I highly recommend the berry lemon fizz.They also sell bottles of what they distill, just ask what's available! Highly recommend checking them out.”

“I was just there last night for Dinner with my Father, for a delayed Father's Day Dinner. While there we saw someone that we agree was Gorgeous; well, that was his term, but she was beautiful and out of place working there. She was the/a Hostess 6/19/25 sometime between 3:30p-4:30p. I wanted to talk to her, but the opportunity wasn't there. I can't forget to mention our Waitress though, she was a pleasure and made the experience an excellent one. “I love the intimate setting of this market. You can take your drinks and food outside and sit right by the water to watch people golf or just to enjoy the cute duck families floating by. The food is reasonably priced and fresh. I will definitely be back this summer.”
