It’s a bit farther than I normally drive for dinner, but lately I’ve found myself going more often—because I just feel good every time I’m there. The first time I went there was in 2009 on the recommendation of a friend who used to have a Japanese restaurant. With job changes, going back to school, and plunging headfirst into a turbulent new career with multiple job changes, I never got back there until 2022. And guess what? They remembered me! The staff is genuinely friendly. They remember what I like, and a few times I’ve described dishes that weren’t on the menu—and they made them perfectly. “We had a wonderful experience working with Tess and OsoSweet Bakery! My friend and I ran the Tough Mudder held a few miles away, and thought it would be fun to celebrate our success with a sweet treat. We ordered 6 custom cupcakes (and two scones, because who doesn't love a scone?!) and got a prompt and lovely response from Tess - she even made two different frosting flavors for us since we couldn't choose On the day we were due to pick up our order, we were running late and Tess assured us we could come after closing to grab our sweets. Come to find that in addition to the TM decoration we'd asked for, she also decorated some of our cupcakes with the TM logo to differentiate between the frosting flavors. And the scones are huge! Everything was delicious and the perfect way to end our race. Plus the shop is ADORABLE! We were sad we didn't have more time to visit and hang out there! Thank you again, Tess!“

“I’ve been going to Karma for months now and realized I’ve never taken the time to post a review. First, some wonderful people work here. Second I’ve yet to eat or drink something here I would not recommend, but, I have some favorites for sure- Dharma, OM, power yogurt bowl, always Iced coffee with oat milk. The music was pleasant if unfamilliar but aided in the atmosphere being relaxing and making conversation easy. There was a nice little selection of games (checkers, tic tac toe. Dominoes, etc). If you want the most amazing chicken salad sandwich, run, don't walk to the Landenberg Store. The staff were super friendly and the Store was clean, warm, and inviting. “We have been coming here for almost 10 years. The quality has been consistent and quantity is good. I’ve seen many places jacked up the prices after COVID, but this place has stay very reasonable prices.
Recently this restaurant renovated and added many more options on menu. It’s definitely a happy surprise. My new go to is the deluxe pho, and tofu pudding. The weekend special rice roll is also very good too! Will recommend others to try this place too.“

“A wonderful place with a healthy variety of food so there's something for everyone. They're very accommodating with the options— not everything is vegan, but it feels like at least half of the menu is, and if it isn't then it can be made vegan. Menu items are conveniently and clearly labeled so you know what is vegan, gluten-free, or has nuts, among other things, and I can't stress enough how much I really wish every place did this. The seitan wings and loaded totchos are some of my favorites on the appetizer end- the "wings" in particular feel nice and juicy and have a great texture that I've been trying and failing to replicate at home. They have a really killer plant burger too known as the California Gardenator, which for me is always a big +10 points especially seeing how many places' "plant options" will just be an Impossible Patty; they also have delicious and flavorful tacos made with soy curls. The location unfortunately has the same "issue" as the other Main Street locations in Newark, which is that's there not a great way to quickly park and go even if you just want to pick something up (and all the parking spots on Main Street are metered because of course they need to capitalize off of the UD kids) but the actual building is a gorgeous establishment with great indoor/outdoor seating and friendly staff. Some may disagere but I found the prices pretty reasonable for the quality and it feels like the portions are plentiful— I've underestimated how much food they give you a few times.“

Started with the traditional guacomole made table side accompanied by a delicious margarita. Loved this dish! Tried the Dip Sampler with the warm chips ~ another pleasant surprise with so many flavors. Carnitas tacos were made with fresh ingredients and selected the flour tortilla instead of the corn tortilla. So good!! Mexican corn was ok. I will go back; frankly, can't wait to go back!“

They recently expanded the space, and it shows—from the additional tables to the dedicated area for larger parties, the layout now feels much more accommodating. There are cozy booths for smaller groups and a well-organized pickup counter that keeps takeout traffic moving smoothly. It’s BYOB, but they offer a solid selection of espresso drinks, soft drinks, and teas to round things out.

We started with the mozzarella sticks, which were crisp on the outside with a nice, stretchy pull—simple but well executed. The chicken parm was a standout: tender cutlet, well-seasoned sauce, and just the right amount of cheese. The penne vodka was comforting and rich without feeling overly heavy, and the bread they serve is the kind you keep reaching for without thinking. The only miss for us was the tortellini; the flavor profile was a bit off and didn’t quite come together the way the other dishes did. Overall, the prices were reasonable and we’d definitely go back!“

“This Chinese food was bomb! The sauce on my chicken and broccoli with garlic sauce was amazing. I had the perfect amount of spice to give it the little kick without being overly spicy. The shrimp fried rice was very small, but very good. I had a decent amount of shrimp in it and had very good flavor. The rice was not greasy. I took off a star because I got the combination platter and it was supposed to come with an eggroll, but it was not in the bag. Even though the worker behind the counter told me he put duck sauce in the bag for it.

“This is the central campus location for UDairy Creamery, and I LOVE that I can also get food here. My favorite is the breakfast toast with hummus, sun-dried tomatoes, basil and olive oil. It's seriously AMAZING! I'm not sure what kind of bread they are using, but it's phenominal.

There is a lot of space to eat or study, and, of course, it's attached to Barnes and Noble, so that's a major plus.“
