Shanty Seafood Reviews
Drove a hour to get them. Ordered large males, were very small.. but figured that’s what you get for the time of year. Very clean restaurant and seafood sale / prep area. Young man that assisted me was very professional and so polite. We need more young people like him!
I bought two bags of the clams and cooked them myself which I have always done from any seafood place. Theirs are filled with nothing but sand and the manager Cane knows they are filled with sand but doesn’t care and will continue to sell them.He couldn’t refund me without the clams how can I bring back clams that are cooked
I wouldn’t want to waste my time and money at a place that discriminates against people of color and people with disabilities. My money spends just as well as anyone else’s and for them to “not serve me” because of being associated with someone with those issues.

Based on the reviews, Shanty Seafood is a very clean restaurant and seafood sale/prep area. The young man who assisted one customer was very professional and polite. The staff is always very friendly and helpful.
The seafood is fresh and not expensive. The crab meat is high quality. The Smith Island lump/jumbo lump mix was less expensive than the grocery store version and made the best crab dip. They have the best crabcakes with no fillers, all jumbo lump meat. The extra large crabs were fresh, full, and big and full at a great price. One customer got a dozen of extra large crabs to crab cake platers, and everything was outstanding. For 10 dollars more, you get 1lb of shrimp and 4 ears of corn. The steamed crabs were big, heavy, and full of flavor. The seasoning was good, and the crabs were as big as many Jumbos. The prices are great.
