“Celebrated my wife’s 73rd birthday here today. We’ve been meaning to try it for years. Today was that day and they did not disappoint. The entire visit was a pleasant surprise! And it was absolutely wonderful! Sorry we waited so long before trying it. The icing on the cake tho was our server, Aubrie. She was AMAZING! Her efficiency and warmth was overwhelming! If you come to try it out, be sure to ask for her. You won’t be disappointed. 👍👍👍“

“Yo! Plant-based used to scare me. I pictured bland tofu, basic veggies, and meh flavors. I was so wrong. These guys absolutely blew me out of the water and proved how ignorant my assumptions were. Every single dish was layered, creative, and bursting with flavor. Smoky, sweet, savory, sour—creamy meets crunchy—home run after home run from start to finish. “The bartenders there serve people that are obviously visibly drunk and falling off their stools! When I brought it up to the bartender, she said I misread the situation and it was none of my business! So, I went to the manager and she repeated pretty much the same statement like it was scripted because it continuously happens! I wonder if the owners are aware of these actions because honestly the bartender and manager should be fired for those kind of attitudes as it's illegal to serve visibly impaired patrons at a bar! Sad! 🤔😔 I actually have to add, it's a shame that the staff isn't the best, because the concept is great, the events are fun and our group which usually numbers 10 to 15 people enjoy hanging out there for the events and the food which is reasonable and pretty good! 💝😎👍“

“I came to Metro Diner this morning off the humbug. I was starving & was craving some chicken & waffles from somewhere close in the area. Surprisingly the chicken was very seasoned and crispy. The waffles were also very tasty and soft. The strawberry butter mixed with their signature hot sauce was also pretty good. Alicia was my server. She was such a doll :) Her knowledge of the menu is impeccable and she took very good care of me. So when we ordered we selected a Taylor pork sandwich on a roll, Belgian waffles with bacon and sausage and the final meal an omelette. The food arrived and just as imagined the food was really good. Of all the times I’ve been I’ve only had 2 incidents where I was not happy with the cut of meat. When I brought the issue to the servers attention, they went above and beyond to make things right. I suggest making reservations because they are pretty busy from those that have also fallen in love with this amazing restaurant. “We only get a chance to come here on the weekends there is normally a wait but it's never more than 20 min. The staff is always super friendly and nice, and very knowledgeable about the menu. It is a VAST menu so it might take a while to decide what you want but we have tried a bunch of things and nothing has been short of wonderful. Price is on par for what you get rolls are a good size at an average price with quality ingredients. Highly recommend the soup dumplings! We always try to get something new but keep getting those dumplings!

Parking: It's near the food court in the mall so parking can be challenging but it is free

Kid-friendliness: We have taken out 2 year old every time we have been here we just get her a side of rice and some popcorn chicken, staff is very accommodating to kids and they have kids cup and high chairs

Wheelchair accessibility: 1st floor location and is technically on the outside of the mall so easy access from the street“

“Dinner at Masamoto was suggested by a friend, so you're getting a twofer review. If you love sushi how can you go wrong?

We went with another couple on a Wednesday night. (Now you're up to 5 people recommending this place-bonus!) The place is small, so we made reservations. Sadly, we were the only customers when we arrived. I was a little concerned, but once rush hour died down the place got busy. The kitchen was hopping, creating table and take out orders. And for good reason.

We ordered a bunch of sushi rolls. They all looked amazing when brought to the table. There's no point in telling you which rolls we order, because they were all great and the menu has so many choices. And they will even make you gluten-free rolls and fried rice if you ask.

You don't go to Masamoto if you don't like sushi, so go and enjoy some wonderful creations.

It's usually true what they say about cozy hole in the wall restaurants. Masamoto is such a place, and deserves to be packed every night. If you want Asian flair and the extra costs for decorations and loud music - good for you, but you're missing out. Masamoto is a mom-n-pop type place with great food and a fantastic staff. They are helpful and happy to take care of you. For me, a genuinely cheery staff is what makes a place feel welcoming.

Masamoto is a place you go for the food and the company. Make some time and treat yourself.
Oh, and bring your favorite saki, wine, or bubbly. They are BYOB. Your belly and your wallet will thank you!
