“The Mercury Café is a lovely vegetarian café/restaurant in the charming historic town of New Castle, with plenty of vegan options. We ordered the vegan Pulled-Oat “Pork” Sandwich, which was excellent. The cocktails were great too. Updated from previous review on 2025-11-29“

“We loved the food though the setting is in a very crowded farmer's market. We do not like any Indian restaurant in the north of Delaware, but this one proved to be very consistent in taste in the last 3 times we tried lunch here. Thali is our favorite“

When I brought it up to the bartender, she said I misread the situation and it was none of my business! So, I went to the manager and she repeated pretty much the same statement like it was scripted because it continuously happens! I wonder if the owners are aware of these actions because honestly the bartender and manager should be fired for those kind of attitudes as it's illegal to serve visibly impaired patrons at a bar! Sad! 🤔😔 I actually have to add, it's a shame that the staff isn't the best, because the concept is great, the events are fun and our group which usually numbers 10 to 15 people enjoy hanging out there for the events and the food which is reasonable and pretty good! 💝😎👍“

“I came to Metro Diner this morning off the humbug. I was starving & was craving some chicken & waffles from somewhere close in the area. Surprisingly the chicken was very seasoned and crispy. The waffles were also very tasty and soft. The strawberry butter mixed with their signature hot sauce was also pretty good. Alicia was my server. She was such a doll :) Her knowledge of the menu is impeccable and she took very good care of me. If you are in the Newark area and would like some tasty and quick diner food, go there & ask for Alicia <3 Thanks Alicia will be there again real soon !“

“Had a lovely dinner with the family, early on a Sunday evening.
Our first time at Kid Shelleen's. It was much bigger than it appears at first. We had our two granddaughters with us, one is very vocal and not great at getting food into her mouth. We were conveniently tucked into the back corner where we didn't bother any other patrons, thanks to the wonderful staff. So thankful for their kindness and attention.“

“Welcome to NJ. Went for a family event and had breakfast at this place. It's new so very clean. The staff very friendly, the food on people's plates looked very tasty. So when we ordered we selected a Taylor pork sandwich on a roll, Belgian waffles with bacon and sausage and the final meal an omelette. The food arrived and just as imagined the food was really good. We had four meals and it was less than 40.00 . If in the area and you want tasty food I suggest a visit.“

“Chiwa Bistro location along the sidewalk near The Christiana Mall (not inside the mall) has very professional staff members that work fast paced with accurate food preparation. “Santa Fe Grill has the best food, period. Every dish is cooked to perfection, flavorful, and warms your heart along with your stomach. Everything is reasonably priced and it's not uncommon to leave with a doggie bag. Parking is easy with the underground garage, too. I have so many favorite dishes and I find it difficult at times to try new things; but when I do, the new dishes automatically become favorites. Living in Ardmore, we bypass many local Mexican restaurants and make Santa Fe Grill the one and only place to eat. To quote Arnold Schwarzenegger . . . I'll be back (again and again and again). The most amazing waiter is Kitchen - super helpful, knowledgeable, explains every dish in detail, and just an all-round nice young man.“

“Jennifer Ballintyn and team made a wonderful cake for my wedding reception at Longwood Gardens! I chose a simple, elegant design. At Longwood, the florist decorated it with edible flower petals to make it even more beautiful. It was delicious and there was enough cake for everyone (around 100 guests)! Thank you so much! They also give you a free anniversary cake if you ask!“

“Rice has long been our go-to place in DE for sashimi: thick cuts (as they should be), always fresh, expertly prepared. We love the wonton soup and fried rice as well, and everything we've tried from the non-sushi menu has always been a cut above. Everything tastes prepared fresh that day; the vegetables are crisp; it's never overloaded with salty, gooey sauce. So many places just cover up mushy vegetables and old rice with sugar-heavy sauce because it's what we Americans expect, but this restaurant seems to actually care about putting out quality. The staff is always courteous, too. Thank you for the lovely Valentine's Day meal my husband just brought home. You all are doing a terrific job.“

“We've now had Viva Vegan make at least half a dozen custom cakes for us over the last couple of years, and they've all been excellent! The head baker/owner Evangelina can handle any dietary constraints. One of our recent cakes had to be gluten free and also avoid a few other common ingredients, and the cake was still very fluffy and moist and delicious... a big hit among all of our guests! She uses organic and high quality ingredients as well, which no other bakery in town does that I know of.“

“I have been visiting the border Cafe and had a good experience overall. The food is tasty, but the menu is a bit limited compared to other restaurants. It was quite delicious, and we did not have to wait long for the foods to be served. Excellent service! Good reasonable price for the quality of foods! The good nature and friendly chef also was outside at our table greeting us and brought out a good pot of hot tea to start. I had a chance of speaking Vietnamese with him!
