“First time coming in to a wine/mead tap room and had a great experience, Collin was super helpful at recommendations and everyone was so friendly. The whole place is lined with various different trinkets and pop culture items. Worth a stop if you are in the area!“

“I tried the mozzarella as an appetizer and the Tenderloin for the meal. The mozzarella was very good. Between the peppers and topping that was a great was to start out. The Tenderloin was ok. The Gravy had a very good flavor but the meat itself i didn't think was that good. The mashed potatoes were nicely prepared and the asparagus was hot but still had a snap to them, which is just the way I like it. Add a nice bourbon to it all and it makes for a good meal. Cozy atmosphere to the place. Definitely worth checking out.“

“My husband and made reservations for what we thought was a brunch buffet. The website is outdated and they don't currently offer a buffet. We had lunch off the menu. We adored the risotto ball appetizer. My chicken salad sandwich was delicious and my husband enjoyed the burger he had. I was not fond of the coleslaw side, but that's more because I don't enjoy vinegar dressing than any actual issue. Overall a very nice meal.“

“Maybe if we had been drinking alcohol, & lots of it, we would've received better service?
Food was wonderfully delicious and arrived sooner than expected. Many kudos to the back of the house. Front of house ghosted us. But, then good service is an ancient myth these days. And then they want a 20% tip? What a joke.“

“We decided to go to dinner at Firebirds. I had been once and was not impressed; however my husband had never been there. I have to say the food was good. Cooked exactly the way we wanted. The only draw back we had is the portions of food that you receive for the price that you pay. We felt like we were robbed. We don’t over eat so when I say we had small portions, we really had small portions. The dessert was even small portions for the price that you’re required to pay. The five very thin layers of lemon cake were good but the slice was very thin for $10.25. Out bill was $76.30 for two and I would have no problem if we had an appetizer and alcoholic drinks but there was none of that because we don’t drink. We each had a soda because the lemonade was too tart. The server was very pleasant and on time with everything. We tipped her well as we should have. Not sure I can return there. A little more light would be appreciated if I did return.“

“Without a doubt the best restaurant in Delaware. The pierogies, nachos, crab cakes, and burgers are 10/10. The service is awesome and Patty is the best!! Super friendly and quick service. The vibe in this place is awesome too- you can’t do it justice in pictures. Come check it out!!“

“😍Tucked just off the road like a well-kept secret, Snuff Mill Steakhouse & Butchery is a revelation—a celebration of fine dining wrapped in the warmth of a neighborhood favorite. Step inside, and you’re greeted by a cozy, intimate interior that feels both polished and personal. High tables, rich wood tones, and a welcoming bar set the tone. And just to the left of the entrance, a gleaming meat case—like a culinary altar—builds anticipation with its marble-cut promise of things to come. Whimsy lives here too, from the surprise artworks to the playful presence of pigs in unexpected places (don’t miss the one keeping watch near the door). The wine list? Impeccably curated, with a focus on hand-selected bottles that beg to be explored. Cocktails are more than drinks—they’re small works of art, mixed with precision by bartenders who clearly care. Then there’s Bill Irvin—proprietor, oyster whisperer, and front-of-house magician. A certified oyster expert, Bill pairs briny beauties with grace and authority. The chef and kitchen brigade bring French-influenced finesse to every plate, sourcing only the finest local ingredients. The results? Steaks seared to sublime, seafood that sings, and appetizers that linger on the palate like a good memory. The in-house pastry chef seals the deal—so save room. The desserts are nothing short of transportive. Snuff Mill is more than a meal; it’s a destination. Guests travel from near and far, and once you’ve experienced it, you’ll understand why.“
