“Stopped by for dinner on our way heading South on our way to Naples. We ordered a hamburger with sweet potato fries for one dish and steak tip and chicken tip combo with sweet potato fries. Both were excellent and the prices were fair. Remington was our waitress and she was friendly and very helpful.“

“We were just passing through on our way home to another part of the state when we came across this club house restaurant, and we're glad we did. They were celebrating 5 years in business with a band and a buffet. We ordered from the menu and the food was good. The service was prompt and very friendly. Just a nice place. “Las Carretas has been my go to restaurant in Gainesville for 2 years now! But this recent experience shows just how amazing the staff really is. Saturday I suspected I lost a diamond ring at one of the booths. I called Sunday and left my number in case something showed up. I wasn’t hopeful I’d be getting a call back. On Wednesday I got a call from Javi notifying me they found a ring. Turns out, It was my ring !! 😭🥹 I love the food, drinks, and atmosphere of this restaurant but the people who work here are truly great people. Thank you Las Carretas staff for being honest and amazing at what you do. 🫶🏼“

“I ordered a pepperoni pizza and received a cheese. The delivery driver just left the pizza on the porch. No knocking or calling. I didn’t know it was out there. It was cold by the time I realized it was there. I get pizza from here all the time and it’s normally amazing. this was the worst“

“I went in and ate alone. I had Nonna's Spaghetti with a garden salad. The best Spaghetti I have eaten at a restaurant. The foccia bread was seasoned just right with rosemary. The honey balsamic glaze was delicious. I drank a glass of Moscato with my meal. I had flan inhouse and took home tiramisu. The waitress Sharmenda was absolutely wonderful. “Beer was awesome, talked with the owner/brewer and you can tell he really cares about the beer he makes. Great atmosphere and really good beer. I had the Queenie, James Brown, Peppered Porter, the Golden Ale and the Bat Adder Helles. Each were unique in their flavors. Many breweries get stuck on the same flavor profile, you won't find that here. I will definitely be back.“

“Dined with friends that are regulars at this location. Waitstaff was so pleasant. She made good recommendations that were spot-on. Shrimp appetizer was very tasty. Salads were better than expected and our two hand tossed pizzas ( meatball/ cheese) had good NY crust, not greasy and the meatballs had the best texture and spice. We will certainly come back. “My husband and i have been eating five star pizza since we started dating almost 10 years ago and it’s hands down one of the best pizza places we have found. Although if you really want a good experience and the best they have to offer you have to go to the five star pizzas on tower road in Gainesville FL. None of the other locations have ever been able to meet the expectations that the tower road store set for us. Plus they just started a loyalty program with text offers and loyalty points which is something we always wished they had but honestly it didn’t factor in on my choice the pepperoni rolls and large pepperoni pizza well done with Garlic or cinnamon rolls and 2 liter of Dr.pepper are my go to every time and they have never let me down on tower road, we make a point to look for five star pizza where ever we go so we have tried them all through out florida, at least north central fl, haven't found them anywhere else.

“The Mint was delightful... The three restaurant people that were there today were each so nice. I particularly go for Indian food on Sundays, and they even had a little conversation with me. I'm so glad that this restaurant is here in Gainesville!!! The prices at the Mint are very reasonable, whereas most prices everywhere have shot up sky high. I ordered the dosa masala, and the sambar soup and the coconut chutney were delicious. The sambar even had a hint of cinnamon, just a hint, and it could not have been better. I ordered the garlic naan and the bread is not a large size portion but it is plenty when you are paying $2 and change. I think that the restaurant works largely by the several delivery services. There are 3 big long tables there for families and single tables also. The dining area is not very big at all but it is sufficient for good food and good people serving you. Amy.“

Some of the lowest prices you're going to find compared to other local restaurants. Wide variety of meals and specials daily. If it weren't good, they wouldn't be serving since 1985.“

“We had my mother’s celebration of life yesterday. The Tower Road Piesanos catered our event. There are no words to express my gratitude to Tim and Mischa for their outstanding service. “The food was scrummy! Mildred and New Deal are conjoint twin restaurants. This one tries for a hip yuppy vibe but could be cleaner - Mildred is table cloth, napkins and seniors. If seniors with oxygen tubes eat there, I will trust the safety of their food. A couple of different vegetarian options at New Deal but not so much at Mildred. The waitress also told us later that they could make many Of Mildred 's vegetarian. The pumpkin cheesecake was amazing, better than cheesecake factory. The coconut pineapple cake was okay. 8$ a slice for canned pineapples and not a layer of pineapple jam? Mch mch mch.“

“I called a number trying to reach another restaurant to make an order for someone at work. I hot this restaurant instead. It was a small $12 order and I made the order about 20 minutes before they closed, but he graciously took it and it arrived fresh. He drove all the way from 43rd to the jail (across from the airport) and delivered the food to my job. THEY DO NOT HAVE A DELIVERY SERVICE 🥰. He let me know that they plan to partner with some delivery companies in the future. He could have told me no, we can't and hung up. The service provided was definitely above and beyond and the fact that it was such a small order.....Thank You!“
