I'm afraid the ownership of this place has changed, and with the food is nothing like it was. I did notice they spent way too much on bags and too little on continuing the menu dish formula. It was our local go to place. Now we have to travel to Hunan Garden in Delray. Bring back the way it was
Either raise your prices and give people their money worth or loose business. We ate there twice in the last 3 mos. Ordered Shanghai Noodles with chicken, pork and shrimp. There was hardly any meat. The tea is extra. We will not go back. We miss the Peking Duck.
I ordered General Cho chicken. they brought me sesame chicken with cold broccoli. o asked for brown rice. they brought me white rice. I ordered a soda. it never came. plus what they did bring me was disgusting. How the F are these people in business?

818 Shanghai is the absolute best Chinese restaurant in Boca, offering the kind of quality American-Chinese that makes customers feel right at home. The restaurant has a great new updated menu with many new food choices, friendly service, and a clean remodeled space. Always a good experience, the Cantonese steamed food has the same taste as in NY Chinatown, though rice rolls are on the menu but never available to buy. The food is quite good with excellent service, and the waiter was very polite and efficient. The Hong Kong duck is elite and definitely worth the try. Specific meals mentioned include soup dumplings, Singapore maefun, moo shu chicken, steamed dumplings, wonton some soup, teriyaki beef on a stick, and Mei Fun noodles with chicken. The restaurant offers a good variety of dim sum and other Chinese dishes from the menu, not the traditional push cart. Service was great with friendly aunties. While some items were good and others had too much or too little of an ingredient, this place is great and everything ordered was delicious. It offers great food, ambience, and service, making it the go-to for good Chinese cuisine.
