My hosts said try the fish. Catch of the day. Etc etc. I ordered triple tail platter. I'm from Boston so I have no idea what a triple tail is. I asked for grilled fillet. Small thin serving. Reminded me of TV ad...." where's the beef." Good yet could have eaten 2x.

Platter came with fries and small serving of coleslaw. Coleslaw was good, IMHO.

good local beer, attentive service, ( I sat at the bar). One dollar bills on the ceiling. ( I did not ask). Very good vibe. Why is fish so expensive on an island. I would return to investigate alt. Items on menu.”

We loved the breeze, boats going by, superb clam chowder, pizza and music. Great service by our waitress. Glad to be back on Matlache. Parking is tricky. We got there early. We love and recommend it highly. A favorite Florida experience. We will be back.😎😎”
