Having lived in the DC/Va area in the 90’s, I have had excellent Pho and Pho 31 is the real deal, admittedly the exterior in an offbeat plaza, made me reticent about walking in, but very glad I did. You go there for the food, inside ambience is an acquired taste and speaking of food. The rare beef noodle Pho was excellent, rich brought with outstanding quality of beef, very lean, no grizzle. I have been going to the same pho restaurant for years until they recently started tasting bad. I had to find a new spot and discovered this gem. It is sooooo good and they give you so much food. Wish I discovered it sooner. Go there!

This is top 5 Vietnamese restaurant, maybe even #1. It’s some of the best Vietnamese cuisine I’ve had. Delicious fish sauce (maybe made in house?), generous portions, great price on the combo vermicelli bowl, so many veggies and herbs, excellent preparation and presentation was not out of the ordinary (which is good imo). Welcoming friendly and fast. Highly recommended!
