El Buzo Restaurant Reviews
The food was delicious and the service was great!
We will be back! 🤗
Friendly environment. However; as a peruvian, I feel this restaurant was misrepresenting our food in the sense that it did not taste very good. My ceviche was extremely salty, and same with my kid’s chaufa. The portions were small and the empanadas were fried instead of baked. They did not charge me for returning the ceviche.

El Buzo Restaurant is a small, quaint little restaurant serving very authentic Peruvian dishes. The food is excellent, delicious, and some of the best in the US. Dishes to try include the seared fish, an empanada with beef or chicken, the chicken fried rice, the lomo saltado with perfectly cooked steak, and the arroz con mariscos with a generous portion of shrimp and mussels. There are three good lunch special options at reasonable prices.
The atmosphere is nice, though not exactly cozy and can be somewhat loud. The wait staff are wonderful, happy, helpful, friendly, and attentive. Service is generally good, though occasionally a starter may arrive after the main course. While the portions are sometimes seen as smaller, the general taste of the dishes is good. They offer authentic Peruvian drinks including juice, cola, and beer. The restaurant is an honest, kind, and non-pretentious place cooking up great fresh food, and many customers plan to return.
