Boops Ice Cream Parlor and Café, located in Captiva, is a delightful destination for satisfying one's sweet tooth. Known for its inviting atmosphere and friendly staff, this charming establishment has become a popular spot, especially for those eagerly waiting for the re-opening of the Bubble Room. The shop offers coffee, desserts, and ice cream, with ginormous cake slices and refreshing raspberry sorbet made with real fruit. The Orange Crunch Cake remains a must-try, featuring moist layers with a creamy, crunchy filling, while other favorites include the White Christmas and Tropical Breeze cakes.
Visitors can enjoy ice cream, muffins, breakfast sandwiches, and espresso, along with the famous Bubble Room Cakes. Though the cheesecake is currently unavailable, the Jamaican Rum Cake and chocolate cake with fudge toffee are also crowd-pleasers. With its throwback vibe and golden oldies playing, Boops offers more than just desserts—it's a charming experience that captures the warmth of the island community. The Orange Cake is delicious, and the White Christmas Cake is a recommended alternative to the chocolate cake. The ice cream is also praised, with mint chocolate chip and blueberry cheesecake flavors being popular choices, though some customers find the prices a bit high. Overall, Boops is a must-visit for those seeking a delightful and memorable dessert experience.
