Went in today and got a meatball sub, onion rings and a drink. Very affordable. I definitely thought the food was above average and I will be back.
i came here a bunch of times when i was a KID with my family in the early 90s because it was on our way to the beach...we probably just assumed it had eneded up closing because we almost are never in this part of clearwater..but the other day we passed it while i was doing instacart....id get so excited when my mom would take us here because the gyro and fries were sooooo good that i felt i should definitely leave this review now that i am 43 years old lol! 🤤🤤
One of the BEST gyros I have ever had

Mr Submarine-Mr Gyros is a welcoming restaurant with a friendly owner who makes guests feel at home. The restaurant is known for serving the best gyros in Florida, with each bite being divine and mouthwatering. The gyros are absolutely scrumptious, and the meat is seasoned to perfection. The food is consistently good, the service is fast, and prices are fair. Customers praise the fresh gyros and the hot, perfectly cooked fries that come with platters. The staff is outgoing, efficient, and friendly, always making sure orders are right and quickly prepared. The atmosphere has a neighborhood feel, and the place is kid-friendly and wheelchair accessible. While the inside looks authentic and well-maintained, dining in can sometimes be warm due to the lack of air conditioning, but takeout remains a popular option. The owner remembers customers, making it a special spot to visit repeatedly. There are ample parking spaces, and the menu offers a variety of options including subs and burgers. Many customers have enjoyed the quick service, great quality, and consistent flavor, with some mentioning they've been visiting for over 40 years. Overall, Mr Submarine-Mr Gyros is a great place to enjoy excellent food at fair prices for years to come.
