My wife and I dined at The Southern for the first time on July 9, 2002. We chose The Southern at the recommendation of one of its neighboring businesses. The recommendation did not disappoint. The fried chicken was out of this world, and can honestly say that it was the best that I've had in decades. Our server was Kelli and she was wonderful. She was so knowledgeable about the menu and an overall joy to talk to. We HIGHLY recommend. We will be back again and again.
My wife and I went for my bday. Our first time there . She had the She-Crab soup and I had the Fried green tomatoes for appetizers . For supper I had the pork chop with grits and carrots and she had the Jambalaya . For Desert we had the bread pudding . It had a hit of burbon to it . Everything was so good !!!! Our waiter was Ernest. He made us feel comfortable. He was awesome . This is our new place to go . We can’t wait to return for brunch . 5 stars !!!!!!
