“What a pleasant surprise while passing through Clewiston! We stopped on our drive from Orlando to Miami hoping to catch a glimpse of Lake Okeechobee and ended up discovering this local gem.

Cafe Tropical is a classic Cuban restaurant serving generous portions of Cuban favorites like ropa vieja, masitas de puerco, pollo asado, lechón, and more. The food displayed at the hot buffet looked absolutely delicious, and you can build your own combination plate for dine-in or takeout.

Although we were tempted by the food, we were really just looking for a fresh-brewed Cuban cortadito to keep us going on our road trip. It was exactly what we needed.

The prices are fantastic, and the portions looked like they were served by someone's own mother—generous, comforting, and made with care. I saw some customers very happy with their orders. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere felt authentic and welcoming.
