Green Door on 8th Reviews
We love the Sunday brunch!
One of my 2 favorite places in dade city! Food and service is always excellent!
We tried Green Door last night, and I'm so happy we did - everything was outstanding! Drinks, service, atmosphere and food. The gumbo, shrimp appetizer, sea bass and filet were all served piping hot and the flavor of all the components of each meal was amazing. We will definitely be back and even left over today the sea bass was so good!! Oh, and even tho we were not able to finish our meals because the portions were great, we shared a chocolate chip cookie, which was amazing,...read full review

The Green Door on 8th offers a cozy atmosphere with a small outside seating area and a nice, low-key interior. The menu features mostly New Orleans-style dishes, including steak and salmon, cooked to perfection. The vegetables, such as asparagus, are also well-prepared. The mashed potatoes are a highlight, with a lovely contrast in consistency from the added skin. The friendly and attentive waitstaff make it a great spot for a date night dinner.
Customers praise the flavorful dishes like gumbo, shrimp appetizer, sea bass, and Jambalaya, and appreciate the generous portions that allow for sharing. The fried green tomatoes are perfect, and the shrimp and grits, as well as the mac and cheese, are delicious and filling.
The atmosphere is cozy and quaint, with outstanding food and friendly staff. Overall, the Green Door on 8th is a wonderful surprise for both locals and visitors, offering a great little spot in downtown with excellent, fresh food.
