Fort Lauderdale Improv Reviews
Bad experience each time 👎🏻 Went twice and no more. The checkin is awful. Instead of scanning our tickets the employe ask for our names and phone numbers and go through a long list of guests. It takes for even to get in. Also, the minimum of 2 drinks is ridiculous. The show lasted a little over an hour and all 4 of us didn’t even finish our fist drink. And to pay for a 2nd one and left it on the table. When you pay for a ticket, you shouldn’t be forced to buy 2 drinks...read full review
I don't usually write review comments, but after seeing many other comments here and on Google, I feel this venue deserves a positive shoutout.
We received three free tickets for a Monday night show through a Facebook advertisement. The place was packed. We knew there was a two-drink minimum, which is standard for a comedy club. Fort Lauderdale Improv is a lively and entertaining comedy venue that offers a great night out for many guests. The comedians, whether big-name or up-and-coming, consistently deliver real laughs, creating an energetic and fun atmosphere. The venue itself is clean, comfortable, and easy to find, with good seating that provides a clear view from anywhere in the room. The staff is organized, friendly, and efficient, ensuring quick service for food and drinks throughout the show. Guests appreciate the helpfulness of the waitstaff, who handle orders smoothly even in the semi-dark, and the security team that manages meet and greet activities efficiently.
The food and drinks are satisfying, with options like garlic mashed potatoes, vegetables, nachos with chicken, and domestic bottles of beer, though some mention the two-drink minimum and prices can be high—up to $90 for two non-alcoholic drinks. The venue is also praised for its excellent acoustics and management, making the experience seamless from ticket purchase to post-show meet and greet. Parking is convenient, with free options nearby, and the facility is relatively new, located in a shopping center.
While most reviews highlight the fun atmosphere and quality comedy, some guests suggest clearer communication about the two-drink minimum, alcohol and mocktail prices, and automatic gratuity. Overall, Fort Lauderdale Improv is recommended for those looking for a night filled with laughs, good service, and a lively vibe.
