Hip Hop Seafood & Chicken offers fresh and flavorful fish and chicken dishes. The portions are generous, with the gizzards and fries meal priced at $8.99 being enough to feed three people. The staff is friendly, and the service is exceptional. The food is good, although it's not highly seasoned; the flavor comes from the lemon pepper sprinkled on top. Sometimes the food is sprinkled well, and sometimes it's not. Be sure to ask for lemon pepper on the meat and the fries. The chicken tender and shrimp combo has really good shrimp. The chicken lost its batter in places and became very greasy inside itself, but the chicken had the most flavor. The fries were some of the blandest tried yet, with no seasoning what so ever. Sometimes the fries can be a little under done and not drained well, which makes them soggy. The lunch specials are worth the price. There has been a bad smell inside the restaurant on a few occasions, like issues with the pipes, which gives a bad impression. Problems come into place with the owner/manager. Payment with a debit card incurs an additional charge.
