I don’t respect any place that will go and fire someone over their gender. Tisha was one of the best kava tenders there and she was fired after standing up for herself just because she’s trans. If you’re going to fire someone for their identity, you are going to lose a lot of respect and they are. Other kava tenders there were consistently slacking as I’ve seen when I was there. Always felt always was off with this kava bar and the people running it. Not a safe space for customers or employees
I regret to say that I cannot endorse this establishment due to its failure to support long-term employees and its exhibition of transphobic behavior. A commitment to inclusivity and employee well-being is essential for fostering a positive environment, and this business has fallen short in both areas. Until these critical issues are addressed, I cannot recommend it to potential customers.

Based on the reviews, Riptidez Kava Bar Delray is a solid local community kava bar with a cool spot and a relaxing time. The atmosphere is amazing, featuring cloud ceilings, trippy art, and cozy couches everywhere, making it a place you can hang out for hours. The drinks are actually really good, and the teas and kava are always amazing. They have some standard pub foods, as well as locally made empanadas, which are fantastic. The vegan chorizo empanada is fantastic. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Open 24 hours, it is a place for late night or early morning. Late night, it is more like a night club with outdoor evening music events and entertainment everyday 7 days a week. There is a pool table and a nice chill outdoor smoking area. The crowd is great company. It is a place to chill and just be alone, or a place for socializing. The environment is 10/10.
