Tropical Smokehouse Delray was a down to earth place with amazing service and great vibes. The chopped brisket and jerk chicken was delicious and the drum sticks are huge. Mojo pulled pork, coconut rice, plantains and kale Caesar salad were all delicious and the pickles added crunch and spice. Carrebean slaw was pickled cabbage, a creamy slaw pass but the pickle slaw was enjoyed. A variety of sauces may be tried and many were amazing. Hush puppies were amazing, ribs were the best with a good smokey flavor though some found the ribs too fatty. Mac n cheese was just ok. Lemonade was good a bit sweet. The outside seating in the back was cute and comfortable but flies around the smokers made outdoor sitting less nice. Inside seating was nice and private. Happy hour half-priced cocktails included a classic margarita and a perfect rye old fashioned made by Milo the bartender. The bar was jam packed early and the staff was super friendly with excellent recommendations. Fast and friendly service made a perfect experience for a first visit. The place is not pretentious and a shot is a must when in the area. Highly recommended and A++.
