Mac-Shack in Destin, FL is a restaurant for Mac and Cheese lovers. The Mac and cheese is amazing, and the Mac and cheese Philly steak dish was fantastic with a great flavor pairing. The Chicken Parm Mac and cheese and the Jerk Chicken were delicious, but the Jerk Chicken stole the show, spicy, flavorful, and filling. The sweet potatoes fries were tender and sweet steak fry thick cut, and the fries had a great seasoning on them. The mozzarella sticks came with a delicious marinara sauce. The beignets are like cream filled donuts. There are gluten free options and a variety of non traditional sides. The food is phenomenal, the portions are huge, and the service is great. The staff is friendly, and the dining area and bathroom are clean. The cook was actually cooking not just reheating some premade meals that came in on a truck. The owner was thoughtful, and the service went beyond what could be imagined. The drink selection is fantastic. This place is recommended for a lunch stop, and it is an authentic spot for custom Mac n cheese lovers. EAT HERE, you won’t be disappointed.
