“Celebrated my 30th birthday here and it was by far the best food we ate in Key West. We ordered the Asiago bread and squid for our appetizers. The squid was FABULOUS!!! I’ve been craving it since! For dinner we did the wahoo, swordfish, prime rib and chicken. All of which we were each raving about to each other! The atmosphere was dimmed candle lit tables and our server was great! Highly recommend for anyone wanting to taste high end food and it be up to par! Will definitely be back!”

“In a town full of great places to eat, this hidden gem may be the best of them all. Hands-down, one of the best kept secrets in Key West! (And trust us, we ate our way around the island). El Siboney is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, with just a few parking spaces. Very walkable, too. This is an unpretentious family restaurant for regular people who just want to hang out in a regular joint and stuff themselves with Abuela’s love-filled home cooking. We were immediately welcomed like longtime friends, with big smiles and genuine hospitality so unique to the Keys. The staff were just as enthusiastic to serve us this authentic Cuban food as we were to savor it. From our tiny table tucked in a warm corner, we thoroughly enjoyed watching the camaraderie unfold between longtime patrons and bustling servers, as we all broke bread together in one soul-satisfying feast. Unbelievable taste, quality and authenticity. We made full use of their homemade signature hot sauces and piles of napkins, as we loaded forkfuls of moan-inducing bites into our mouths. Sweet plantains, saffron rice, Cuban black beans, tostones mix, Cuban buttered bread, roasted pulled pork, ropa vieja, tres leches cake and eye-popping cafe Cubano. (Beware, we didn’t listen to the waiter’s advice and ordered the big mugs…. Akin to 4 shots of Cuban espresso, drank gustily at nearly 9 pm and kept us vibrating til way up in the night! 🤣) Did we rename the pulled pork “Marry Me Pork” for its power to induce marriage proposals to the chef, the manager and the waiter? Did we waddle home and unbutton our pants, moaning that we were never going to eat another a bite? Did we feast on the leftover tres leches cake at 1 am regardless? And did we take home a bottle of that signature hot sauce to dump on our bland Northern Michigan eggs as we recalled one of the best vacations of our lives? Yes. Yes, we did. Muchas gracias, El Siboney. We love you ❤️”

“Due to the weather, I found myself spending another night in Key West. I came across this quaint restaurant near my hotel. Francesca the owner is so sweet and friendly. Mario behind the bar was just great. He really knows the drinks and the food. I had the cream of zucchini soup. It was delicious large portion and great flavor. Two ladies at the bar shared their antipasto tray with me. Enjoyed both the tray and the ladies who shared it. I will definitely make this my first stop the next time I’m in Key West.”

“This place was phenomenal all around. The owner greeted us, management all greeted us, and staff was attentive all around. Lobster pizza and the street corn pizza were phenomenal. I loved the Pina colada key lime pie. It is by far the best key lime I have tried. The view, the chickens, all of it!!”

“Growing up in the Bradenton Florida area, I’ve had my fair share of BBQ but I literally think this was the best I’ve ever eaten anywhere. We tried the ribs, pork belly / burnt ends, brisket and pulled pork sandwiches. All six of us were kind of shocked at how good everything was. The pulled pork sandwich comes with cole slaw on it which I’m not usually a huge fan of but I liked the first bite so much I decided to pass on any sauce to add. Also the pulled pork was the perfect consistency and seasoned to perfection. We also got the mac and cheese which was also moist and flavorful. This was such a pleasant surprise for a Key West trip and I would highly recommend. The only thing that was regrettable was that we didn’t find it until our last day here. If we would’ve tried it earlier in the week we would have visited a second time for sure. Kudos for a job very well done!!!”

“Heads up…. Payed for a latte, received a regular coffee no foam. Coffee was weak. What surprised me the most was that they were adamant that it was a latte. Other than that, the food was delicious and the pastry’s were out of this world. Happy dining”

“This place was fantastic. I met the owner(s?), they were so warm and friendly. They went above and beyond with their service and knowledge. I fell in love when the gal told me she made all the treats herself and all their packaging was biodegradable. The coffee was phenomenal, like nothing I’ve ever had before. I wish I lived close enough to have it regularly”
“An absolutely hidden gem in Key West. 18 in-house beers that were all very good. There are lots of different beer styles that are all very good. The food menu is perfect for a day of drinking. Their guacamole was superb. The bartender, Angelina, was a joy. Very engaging and knowledgeable about the beer and all things local.”

“We had the most amazing dinner at South of the Seven in the Florida Keys last night 🌴✨ Chef Paul and his wife Kris have been dear family friends for years, and it’s always so special to visit them and enjoy their incredible hospitality. Although we miss them in Safety Harbor, it's always such a treat to visit them here in Sugarloaf💕 The food was, as always, outstanding— our boys devoured the tomahawk steak and chocolate cake 😍 and we loved every bite of our meals. (My fav is the grouper collars in Buffalo sauce! Mitchel got his long awaited duck wings) It’s not just a restaurant; it’s a place to make memories. Something we enjoy each year 🥰 If you’re ever in the Keys, this gem is a must-visit! Thank you, Chef, for another unforgettable evening. 💙”

“If you’re in Key West and haven’t tried Wasacaca, you’re truly missing out on a hidden gem! This food truck serves the most incredible authentic Venezuelan food, and it’s run by the kindest and friendliest person you’ll ever meet, Neilee. My favorite thing to order is the chicken cachapas! They’re absolutely out of this world – perfectly cooked, loaded with flavor, and just the right balance of savory and sweet from the corn pancake. It’s comfort food at its finest. I highly recommend trying them! Neilee’s dedication to authentic flavors shines in every bite, and it’s clear she pours her heart into every dish. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, make it a priority to stop by Wasacaca – you won’t regret it!”
